14: Final Battle

The footsteps and sounds of the wind had mixed with the cries and screams in the battlefield. Each time a person got wounded, red particles of light would spring out from them and in this battlefield where lots of people got wounded, the flying red particles that mixed with the sunlight created a terrifying but beautiful sight.

Kian's body was coated with psyche energy he wasn't merely fighting with his gun anymore but went for melee. His gun made ear piercing sounds as it shot multiple bullets that landed upon the enemies from time to time.

With his powerful body that could negate some psyche energy attacks and his own psyche energy armor, he was able to move like a battle tank in this place.

Three enemies surrounded him and hacked with their swords. Kian shouted and put his right hand on the ground. With a spin, they were sent flying into the air.

Gunshots rang out. Phantasm bullets coated with psyche energies penetrated their heads and took away their lives.

The three Excelcis guys became nourishment for his eye crystals. Without noticing it, his eye crystals had already turned bright red.

This was a bad since it was the sign of having the same amount of psyche energy as a normal Excelcis. This meant difficulty in entering Earth if they could ever still return.

Kian was not worried about himself. As long as his elemental energies didn't completely disappear, it means that his body was still not fully converted into an Excelcis' body. It might not be the same for others though.

He looked around to see the raging war of humans and aliens. One thing they noticed was that although there were a lot of enemies, not all of them had enough battle experiences. This was understandable since before they came to the third dimension, most of them were probably just civilians.

The Excelcis were slowly getting killed, one after another. Some stronger players were already wandering in the threshold to reaching the same amount of psyche energy as him. This worried Kian a bit.

The battle became more intense. The generals of the Excelcis army had long ago joined the battle themselves. Kian was already engaged in a fight to one of them.

The generals were definitely a cut above the rest. Their psyche energies shook the air whenever they used them. One thing Kian noticed was that their psyche energies had lighter shades than the others. It's as if they were about to become transparent.

Kian didn't have the time to think about it too much. He used haze and fade to disappear from the enemy's sight. After that, he threw multiple psyche energy bombs he had prepared in advance earlier with all his force.

A psyche energy explosion occurred. However, it was not enough to get rid of the general.

The enemy produced wheels that had spikes on them on his hands. They spun as they traveled in the air and headed to Kian.

Kian shot shot a few attacks in the wheels. Sadly, the only thing they did was remove a few chunks of the attacks but nothing of real worth.

One of the wheels hit Kian's chest. His psyche energy armor managed to mitigate some of the force from the attack. However, it quickly broke and he was sent flying into the air.

The attack brought a sharp pain to his head. He could not help but be distracted as he quickly backed away. The enemy used this as a chance to  get close for another round of attacks.

Kian glared at the enemy. He ignored the damage he took and shot another bomb.

The approaching enemy got blasted away by the explosion and was forced to take a few steps back.

Suddenly, a black dart shot towards the enemy general. It penetrated his head and shot a sharp psyche energy attack to his mind. This pre-made attack was packed with all of Kian's psyche energy when he made it back in the human camp.

There was no suspense. The enemy quickly fell and his eye crystals merged with Kian's which became darker in color as a result.

Kian's eyebrows furrowed. Some of the dark and metal elemental energies on the eye crystals were chipped off. The psyche energy now occupied a larger area. This made him very worried.

He surveyed the battlefield and saw that some players especially Vanish were now close to having red crystals.

Kian's eyes fell to the huge and aloof Aether Castle from the distance which seemed to be indestructible and weren't affected by the stray attacks that landed upon it.

The orb placed on the gates was closer to being full. The huge amounts of psyche energy liquid inside represented the amount of people killed on the battlefield. This made him furious and helpless.

Another thing that worried him was that the Excelcis Emperor, the leader of this alien race, who was at the same their strongest, could not be found anywhere. Somehow, Kian couldn't help but get a bad feeling about it.

Without wasting any time, he called for the others to group up. He intended to finish this battle as soon as possible.
