---------

It was still early at Gloomy Village. The red sun was still trying to peek at the world through the horizon. The training grounds were silent except for a few strange birds sang a few weird songs.

The Magi Training Grounds was void of any creature except for one. It was a brown haired young man. He was on a meditative pose beneath an oak tree. The air around seemed to bend each time he took a breath.

Of course, this young man was Kian who was just started his third day of playing Dimensional Heroes Online.

After his lessons yesterday from Fhy, Kian learned that he could only start creating his own skills by increasing his Magic and Spirit points to fifteen points. That's why he slept late and woke up early.

Right now, the feeling of freshness and cool feeling while meditating was gone but a comfortable warmth replaced it on its stead. At the same time, it relieved him off the stress he had accumulated inside.

Suddenly, voices rang out in the silent forest. This interrupted his meditation and he couldn't help but turn his gaze from where the voices came from. He then saw a young man and woman passing by his place. The young man was particularly loud.

"We should get going Kris. We'll disturb his meditation. Look,he's already awake." The young woman said as she pushed him from behind to make him walk faster.

She looked at him apologetically but decided not to say anything. The young man didn't even bother to give a glance at Kian and kept walking.

Soon, they disappeared into the forest probably to do something crazy, said Kian's wild imagination.

"Big mouths yapping in the morning." Kian sneered and stood up. A yawn escaped his mouth as he did so. He couldn't help but stretch his body which was feeling stiff from a long sitting and while still feeling lazy,  he double clicked on the air to check his status.

Kian released a sigh of relief. He was quite impatient to raise his stats to fifteen points that's why he reduced the time for his sleep. Thankfully, the Mana Gathering skill lessened the burden.

"It's really a shame that after I reach level 21 and become a Warlock, this skill will disappear." He clicked his tongue.

"I have to reach level five quick to start making skills. The monsters around the Dark Forest are enough for me to reach that level in a half-day. I just hope I won't meet any Bosses." His eyebrows furrowed when he remembered such hard to deal bosses which are usually present in RPG games.

Bosses are supposed to be powerful and surrounded by lackeys. For a player who still doesn't have any attack skills, it will be really hard to win the fight.

Of course, this didn't reduce his courage to hunt. Besides, he's still at the beginner levels. A loss of 10% experience points if he died was no a big deal.

With huge strides, he left the village and entered the Corrupted Forest. This time however, he didn't use the entrance of the village but took a shortcut through the training grounds.

The Corrupted Forest was creepy as always. The trees were huge and tall with black foliage that made them look dead. The black fog was also thicker than usual since it was still dawn, just a little past the time when the dark elemental energy is at its peak.

Kian felt the little fine hairs on his body rise up as he got deeper into the place.

A bush near his feet shook. A dark brown figure with gleaming red eyes then suddenly sprung up and lunged at him.

"Uwah!" Kian screamed from terror.

It's appearance was so unexpected that Kian couldn't help but jump away and run for a few meters away. He turned his had around only to see that the culprit was actually just a wooden dummy.

The dummy had red crystals for eyes and a mouth made of red paint with a few that dripped that gave the image of blood. Kian's face contorted when he saw its outrageous aprparance.

"This was definitely a prank!" He took out his gun and fired a baseball shaped bullet made of mana.

The dummy exploded into pieces when the bullet landed on its wooden body.

If this was a few days ago, Kian wouldn't be able to do this even if he had a larger amount of mana on his body. After all, this was the result of Fhy's training yesterday. It made his control over mana a lot higher than most beginner players.

He sighed and continued his search for monsters.

It didn't take too long before he found the first monster. It was a Corrupted Rabbit but quite different from what he saw before. It had a longer body and some black fur.

"Long Rabbit? What's next, a wide one?" He couldn't help but laugh.

The Long Corrupted Rabbit suddenly lunged at him. Its feet were powerful creating a small cloud of dust. The feet also had sharp claws that threatened to cut him apart.

"So fast!" He exclaimed and managed to luckily dodge to the side.

The Long Rabbit was now just a meter away from him which a very dangerous distance. While trying to distance himself from the cute monster, he also took out his pistol hanged from his waist to prepare himself for his second monster battle in this game.
