The Gloomy Village was a large village composed of about thirty wooden houses, five shops, and a training ground. What was eye catching about this village is that there was a thin blanket of black fog that covered the village.

Kian who just reached the village was in high spirits. Since he already fulfilled the requirements, the guards didn't bar his entry.

When he entered the village, he couldn't help but wander his gaze around. For a modern person from the Year 3000, it was his first time to see such a village which was totally detached from modern technology.

As he wandered around the village, a loud and coarse voice of a man caught his attention. His gaze followed the direction of the sound and landed into the northern area of the village. It was the training grounds for new players.

The shout came from a large man with bronze skin and rippling muscles. He had a huge sword on his back and wore nothing on his top.

"Newbies! All first-timers gather around here!" He repeated his words from earlier without losing any of the imposing tone that he had.

Curious, Kian approached him together with ten more new players. From the looks of it, they were all Warriors and he was the only Gloom Acolyte so he felt out of place. He shrunk into a corner to avoid being noticed and put his attention to the burly man.

The man didn't speak any further after he saw them gather and turned back to head inside the training grounds.

The place was like an ancient type military barracks. There were various equipments used for training placed in different corners of the place. Since it was near the forest, a few of the training equipments were even placed on the trees.

There were a few warriors that trained in different corners of the training grounds. However, they all had unapproachable faces and didn't even bother to glance at them.

Kian also didn't bother with them and just followed the crowd. His attention was caught by the things around the place when the burly man suddenly called out.

"Hey there shorty! The Magi training grounds is over there!" His voice was loud and clear.

The others gave him a few glances of confusion. Kian smiled wryly when he saw this. He especially hated to be the center of attention. However, a certain part of the sentence was quite insulting though.

'Is 160 centimeters really that short?' He complained on his mind but didn't say it aloud.

"Can I stay here for a bit and train for a bit? I use guns so I also need to practice my marksmanship." He made some excuse in a low voice.

The burly man raised his right eyebrow but then nodded.

"Fine, suit yourself!" He said before he transferred his gaze towards the others.

"Okay Newbies. My name's Warden and I'm in charge of the Warrior's training grounds. You can stay in the village for at most a week to train. After that, you either have to enter an organization or academy, or start your adventure." Warden, the burly man started.

"Some of you may still not know but the only way to raise your stats is to do specific training or exercises. These exercises are not that complicated. You just have to do exercises that improve parts of your body that are connected to a specific stat." He paused for a few seconds.

"Another thing to note is that your body's stats in your world can be brought in here but not vice versa. This is to encourage all of you to exercise in your homes and move your butts. Of course, the disabled or sick are exempted from this. The system automatically adjusts their stats to the average stat of a healthy person." He continued.
