Ashton: "Dammit," You said under your breath as you got your latest math test back. You quickly shoved the test in your bag, hoping nobody noticed and let out a long sigh. "Hey," Someone tapped you on the shoulder. You whipped around to see the school nerd, grinning at you like a fool. "Um, hi?" You knit your eyebrows together in confusion. "I, uh, saw your test," The boy stuttered. Your eyes grew wide with embarrassment, "Look, I don't even know you, but can you please not tell anyone?" He shook his head and laughed, "First of all, who am I gonna tell? Second of all, I was wondering if you wanted to maybe get tutored by me? I'm pretty good with this stuff." "You would do that?" You asked. You never took a second glance at this kid. Why would he help you? "Because I think you're better than this," He replied. "You don't know me," I made clear. He shrugged, "True, but I see you around. You have a bunch of friends, you're always laughing, and I can tell you're a good person. You're worth more than a bad grade." You smiled and your cheeks flooded with happiness. "So what do you say?" He flashed you another charming grin, "Will you let me help you?" You played with your pencil, "I'd love it, uh, sorry, what's your name?" "Ashton." You scribbled something down on a scrap piece of paper and slid your number towards him, "Call me any time."

Calum: You saw the tall, dark haired boy walking in your direction. He saw you and immediately looked away. "Hey!" You yelled, "Where the hell do you think you're going, Hood?" He didn't say anything back, just kept walking. "I said," You growled, "Where the hell do you think you're going?" You shoved him against a locker, smashing his head into the metal. Calum was the school's nerd and you were the school's badass. You crushed him every chance you got. This was just like any other day. At least that's how it started off, but later in the day, something changed. You were walking home from school and bumped into Calum. His eyes were red and puffy and to be honest, it kind of broke your heart. You didn't let him know that. "Why the long face, Hood?" You mocked. He ignored you. "Pussy," You scoffed. Then he did something you never expected. "Stop!" He yelled, and you were stunned. Calum had never stood up to you before. "Why do you do this to me? What did I ever do to you?" He shouted. You thought for a moment. You literally had no good reason and it ate you up. "Calum, I-" You started, but didn't get to finish. "No, don't!" Calum turned away and seemed to calm down, "You don't get it. You make me feel even more horrible about myself than I already do." Your heart dropped to your stomach. You never meant to make him feel like that. "I'm sorry," You breathed. You turned him around and crashed you lips into his. Surprisingly enough, he didn't pull away.

Michael: You let your hair run wild as you swung back and forth. You felt like you were flying. You wanted to fly away, but this was the closest you're gonna get. "Y/n," Your best friend brought you back to reality, "Are you ok? You've barely said a word all day." You were at the park with your best friend, Michael, trying to get your mind off your English grade. You let the swing you were on slow to a stop and sighed, "Mikey, I'm so fucked." His crystal eyes didn't leave yours, "What's going on?" "My English grade is awful," You revealed, "I'm going to fail if I don't get a good grade on this next essay, and my mom is threatening to pull me out." He shook his head, "I can't let that happen. I can tutor you." You burst out laughing, "You? You tutor me? Oh that's great Mikey, thanks for the cheer up!" His face remained the same, "I'm not kidding, y/n. I have an A in that class. English has always been my strong suit." "Well then, " I took his hand, "What are we waiting for? Let's go to my house and get started!"

About a week later, you got your paper back. You just about screamed when you got it and ran all the way to Mikey's house. "Mikey, Mikey, Mikey!" You squealed as you furiously knocked on your door. "What's up?" He asked as he let you in. "Look!" You shoved your paper in his face. "B+! Y/n that's great!" Michael twirled you into hug, "I'm so proud of you." You buried your face in the crook of his neck, "It was all thanks to you." "I couldn't let you leave me," He said as he kissed the top of your head.

Luke: Come to the basketball court, you're missing the show... You opened the text from your best friend and rolled your eyes. What could possibly more important than putting up your Prom Queen posters? What a joke. You didn't want to run, but all your friends put you up to it. It came with the package of being popular. Ultimately, you were curious by the text and went to the basketball court anyway. When you got there, there was a huge crowd of people chanting, "Fight! Fight! Fight!" Concerned, you pushed your way to the front of the mob. You were horrified with what you saw. About four of the popular jocks were punching and kicking this blonde kid to a pulp. "Hey!" You yelled as you stepped in, "Get your fucking hands off him!" You pushed one of the jocks away and he cooed, "What's the matter, y/n? Is this your new boyfriend?" "Yeah, are you really gonna risk your social standing for this nerd?" Another one sneered. "Yeah!" You said confidently, "Now get lost!" Once they all cleared out, you knelt down next to the boy. "Hey," You rubbed his back, "You're safe now." He turned to look at you. "Luke?" You recognized him from a couple of your classes. His body was trembling in fear, bruises covered every inch of him, and there were tears streaming down his face. "You know my name?" He asked, stunned and voice shaking. "Of course I do, I'm not as shallow as everyone thinks I am," You joked, but then got to the point, "Are you ok, now?" He nodded, but you weren't convinced. "Do you wanna maybe come back to my house and I can help you get cleaned up?" You asked nervously. "Really?" Luke asked, tears still falling from his mesmerizing eyes. "Mhm," You confirmed and wiped away his tears, "Come on," You said as you held his hand. And for the first time in a long time, Luke felt safe.
