Calum: The rain was beating down hard and the lightning in the sky was brighter then the sun. The thunder cracked and echoed through the halls of your apartment that you shared with Calum. Calum and you were laying in bed, watching a movie, when the power went out. "Uh oh," he muttered. He grabbed his phone off the end table, turning on the flashlight quickly and leaving the bedroom. "Where are you going?" You asked. You quickly mimicked his actions, grabbing your phone, and followed him into the kitchen. "I'm looking for candles, where would they be at?" He closed the cupboard above the microwave. "In the pantry," you responded. He walked towards the pantry, only to stub his foot on the edge of the counter. "DAMN IT!" He hissed out, falling to the ground because he couldn't catch his balance in time. "Are you okay?" You asked, getting down to his level. "Fucking dandy," Calum replied, sarcastically. You rolled your eyes, "Okay smartass." You got up and grabbed a few of the candles in the cupboard and walked back into the bedroom. He managed to grab the rest of them and a lighter, and he followed you back into the bedroom. You both lit the candles, evenly distributing them between your bedroom and the bathroom. Once you both were finished, you laid together on the bed and cuddled. "Now what?" You looked to Calum. "We could make out?" He stated as a question, but you knew it was more of a demand. You straddled his lap and kissed him, his lips immediately responding to yours. His hands grasped your hips and pulled your body closer to his. Your chest brushed against his as the kisses you shared became heated. He moaned against your lips, giving you time to slip your tongue between his lips and exploring his mouth. His tongue began to dance with yours as his hands slid up your shirt. The spark between your lips were enough to turn the power back on, but didn't stop you from adding fire to the flame.

Michael: "Do you think the power's going to go out?" You asked. Michael shrugged his shoulders and looked outside. The thunderstorm had been getting closer to you and your town was under a severe thunderstorm warning, so you and Michael had taken precautions and charged all of your electronics to make sure you could have enough entertainment for the night in case the power went out. "It might, but I'd prefer if it didn't," he kissed the side of your head. The power went out after he finished his sentence. You giggled, "Clearly, Thor the thunder god doesn't care what you prefer." He laughed at your reference and kissed your cheek, "I'll go get the candles and flashlights." He jogged out of the bedroom, and you grabbed your phone off the table. You began to play Flappy Bird to pass the time, but realized twenty minutes later that Michael still hadn't returned. "Mikey?" You called out, but no response came. "Michael?" You called out again. Once again, no response came. You crawled out of the bed, turning on the flashlight that was built into your phone. You looked in the living room, the spare bedrooms, and the bathrooms. Eventually you made your way into the kitchen, finding Michael lighting candles on the kitchen table. The table was decorated in various candles, a white table cloth, and paper plates with cold pizza. "I got hungry," he smiled and shrugged. You blushed, "Is this for us?" He smiled and looked down shyly, "Maybe," he mumbled. You smiled and kissed him softly. "This is wonderful, Mikey," you smiled up at him. "Really?" He smiled brightly. "Yes, really!" You began to pull out your own chair, "No! Let me do that," he exclaimed. You let him pull out your chair and scoot you in. "I would've warmed up the pizza and the soda probably would've been colder and," he trailed off before scratching his head nervously. "Sit," you told him. You two shared a pizza and candlelit dinner, maybe the power outage wasn't so bad after all.

Ashton: "Ah!" You blood-curdling screamed and hid yourself under the blankets. You hated thunderstorms, ever since you were younger they had terrified you. Ashton came running into the bedroom, you could tell by his footsteps. "Baby, you really have to stop screaming, I keep thinking that somebody is brutally murdering you," he sighed in frustration and relief. You peaked your head out from underneath the blanket and tears were lining your eyes. "Oh, no, baby, it's okay. I didn't mean to sound upset," Ash pouted and came to your side. He laid down next to you and kissed your head softly, running his fingers through your hair to relax you. "I'm sorry, Ash, I didn't mean to upset you, I'm just being foolish," you murmured. "Shh," he silenced you, "don't worry about it, I want to comfort you." You smiled up at him. He wrapped his arms around you and kissed you on the head again. "I'm right here, don't worry about anything," he smiled reassuringly. You cuddled for awhile, and he hummed in your ear when the thunder would crack rambunctiously. At one particular moment, the power went out. "Oh my God," you said. Ashton kissed you softly, "It's all okay, I'm right here. Do you want to come with me and get some candles?" You nodded and he clambered out of bed and picked you up bridal style. He carried you into the bathroom and set you down onto the counter. After that, he grabbed the candles from underneath the sink. "I'll light these in the bedroom, and we can snuggle again. Okay?" You nodded and followed him back into the bedroom, getting tucked into the covers as he lit the candles around the bedroom. Eventually he climbed back into bed with you, holding you close to his body. "I love you, it's all going to be okay," he whispered into your ear. How did you ever end up so lucky?

Luke: You and Luke were sleeping when suddenly there was a huge crash. You immediately awoke and looked around you, everything seemed normal. All was quiet and all was peaceful. "Hmm.." You hummed and suddenly there was a loud roar of thunder. "Ah!" You screamed loudly, waking Luke up! "Jesus Christ, babe, what time is it?" Luke grumbled and grabbed his phone to look at the time. The large roar of thunder echoed through the house again, causing you to jump. You climbed out of bed and opened the curtains that hung in front of your window, so you could look outside. It turns out that a tree had fell in front of your apartment building and a power line was down. "I think the power's out," you claimed. Luke got out of bed and tried to flick the light on, multiple times. "Yup, I'm going to say the power's out," he nodded. You laughed at him and he began to laugh as well. He went looking for candles and flashlights, while you were distracted by the lightning. You had always loved watching lightning. The brightness and the abstract shapes were fascinating to you, and thought it made beautiful photos. Luke came back shortly and lit the candles. "Babe, come back to bed, please?" Luke asked. He had never been one to understand your fascination, but you came back to bed anyway. "I can't sleep though," you told him. You looked at him through your eyelashes and he smiled. "What do you want me to do about it?" He asked. "I want you to read to me," you smiled at him. "Why?" Luke knew the answer, but made you tell him anyway. "I like to hear your voice, so please?" He agreed to read to you, and picked up the book that you were currently reading together. You were reading The Fault in Our Stars, even though you had read it a few times already. You curled into Luke, your head resting on his chest. You were at the part in the book before they went out to dinner. Luke read for a little bit before you fell asleep, and continued reading even afterwards. "I love you Y/F/N Y/M/N. I know that love it just a shout into the void, and that oblivion is inevitable. But I love you, Y/F/N." He whispered to you. He set the book down and blew out the candles before falling asleep with you.
