He gets your best friend pregnant part 2

Ashton:

"Erm...hello! Earth to (Y/N)!" Ashton says, waving his hands around, snapping you out of your thoughts

"Hmm! Sorry, what did you say?" I ask

"What do you think it's gonna be? A boy or a girl?" Ashton replies

You bite your lip, "I don't know...a girl? I hope it's a girl, that way I can buy her cute dresses and paint her nails"

Alexis smiles at you, "And imagine us when she goes on her first date with a boy she really likes? We'll be fussing over her, making her look the part"

You laugh, though Ashton scowls, "There will be no dates."

Alexis and I giggle, "Oh look at Ash, getting all protective. We don't know if it is definitely a girl anyway."

He shrugs, "I'm not too bothered. I'd like a boy. But if it was a girl, I'd be just as happy."

Alexis smiles at him; her eyes beaming. You don't know why it bugs you so much, but it really plays on your last nerve.

The thing that pisses you off the most is that it's been three weeks since you found out she was expecting Ashton's baby. And she's never mentioned it once. It's like she just assumes that because it happened before Ash and you got together that she doesn't have to explain herself. You know you told Ash you were 'okay' with it. Which you are, kind of. But you still feel way out of your depth over the whole thing. You really hate this, because you never thought you'd come to resent your best friend. Because she's pregnant with Ashton's baby and it means she's always going to have contact with Ashton forever - whereas your relationship with Ash may not go the distance, though you hope it does. It's early days yet. The other thing is, you have a sneaky suspicion that she has feelings for him. That it was never just a fling for her. It makes you worry that Ash might leave you for her. He's been there before, and now he's having a baby with her, so he could just decide as go back to her.

"Well, err, I promised (Y/N) lunch so, err, I think we'll have to be leaving" Ashton announces, looking slightly on edge.

"Oh cool, where are you going?" Alexis asks, enthusiastically.

"We're going to Eccleston's. You wanna come?" You reply

Ashton shoots you a quick look.

"Well if you guys don't mind..." She smiles

You open your mouth to tell her that she's welcome to come, Ashton answers for you.

"Well actually, I was, err, just wanting to get some private time with (Y/N). It's a while since we've had some time to ourselves"

Alexis' face drops, "oh okay, well have fun"

You and Ashton smile as you say your goodbyes. Soon, you're walking into Eccleston's. You sit down after ordering what the two of you want at the counter, and Ashton immediately takes your hand across the table.

"Hey, I know you're unhappy with all of this. And I know you're paranoid about me running back to her. I heard you on the phone to your mum the other night. I'm sorry if you think that. But that's not true. It was just a fling with Alexis. But you're the real deal. I may be having a baby with Alexis and I will have to commit to that because I have a responsibility, but my real future is with you. I love you"

Michael:

"I honestly can't believe you're being so pathetic over this (Y/N)!" Kelsey yells

"And I honestly can't believe you slept with a boy I've liked for months now!" You yell back
