What's not to love tho
~Kelly
Ashton: You love Ashton, you do. This has been a feeling that is accompanying you since you know him, which is for a long time now. In kindergarten it was a harmless children crush where you have been playing being parents, in the first years of school it has been an innocent crush while you were still meeting, in year six it has been very clear for you that you were in love with this sweet idiot who now has been your best friend, in year eight you were on cloud nine when Ashton finally had admitted his feelings for you and asked you out. And now after two years of an exciting relationship full of ups and downs, fights and make ups, you are no longer sure what this relationship is about, what has been holding it together. Your phone goes off and you answer the message of your friend, agreeing to go to the mall with her. Y/F/N and you have been enemies since...since you've been friends with Ashton. But a lot has changed and in addition to that the two of you have also changed. When a couple of weeks ago you were asked to do an assignment with Y/F/N, you got to know each other better and now a best friends. You can trust each other with everything, which you do and you can do one thing with Y/F/N which you were not able to do before: Talk about Ashton. "He is hot" Y/F/N says. "Damn hot, I know" you agree. "Then what's the problem?" "I don't know, and that's the biggest problem." "Tell him about it. You guys are best friends and will sort it out." You get a text from Ashton who reminds you of your movie evening. You say goodbye to Y/F/N and on the way to Ashton you think about what she has said. "Hey" Ashton cheers when you enter his house and engulfs you in a hug. "Hey" you huff in his chest, barely capable to talk because he is squeezing you so tight. Something about what Y/F/N has said will not leave your mind and you bite your lip while being lost in thoughts. "You okay?" Ashton says and smiles his dimple smile. And then it occurs you.. His behaviour, his texts, his teasing, everything is friendly. It's no longer flirtatious as it was at the beginning of the relationship. And not only his but also yours. "Come on. Lets go cuddle on the couch while watching a shitty movie" Ashton says, taking your hand. Instead of going with him you pull him back, looking up to him with parted lips. "What is it?" he asks confused. "Ashton, are you in love with me?" "Y/N, wha..." "Ashton, just answer the question. Are you in love with me?" "Of course I love you, Y/N." "You love me but you're not in love with me." "Y/N, what are you talking about?" "You remember? Two years go? We subconsciously started behaving like a couple and now, we subconsciously started behaving like friends again" you explain. Ashton immediately shakes his head. "Think about it, Ashton. I'm here since 20 minutes and none of us made one attempt to kiss the other. I don't think I'm in love with you anymore and you also don't" Ashton frowns instantly. "No, believe me. I do love you" his voice sounds begging. "I don't doubt that Ashton. You love me and I still love you. We are best friends, since always but it's a different kind of love, not a couple love anymore and therefore I think we should break up. You can't deny that. Think about it." "No" Ashton shakes his head eagerly. "No. You can't do that. I love you. I don't want to loose you." You cup his cheeks, forcing him to look at you. "You won't. I don't want to loose you either. But we can stay friends, you know? Since we're already acting like some again. I don't think we should be a couple anymore and taking a 'break' sounds awful. I think we should be able to see other people, in order to find out if we can imagine dating someone else or not. And maybe, someday we might date again" you explain. Ashton seems speechless. "Look Ashton, we.." "Promise me we'll stay friends. Y/N promise me, please." "I promise Ashton. I will never give up on you, ever." Ashton hugs you tightly, almost hurting you but you don't mind. "But I still get to cuddle you, don't I?" You laugh, shaking your head at his question but breathe a 'yeah'. And that is exactly what you do next. You sit between his legs, let him wrap his arms around you and rest his chin on top of your head, desperately hoping that you can keep him for the rest of your life, no matter as a friend or as a boyfriend.

Michael: Things are not going good lately with Michael. You can understand, since they are getting more and more famous there obviously is less privacy. But you also know that no matter how much Michael loves to be left alone and just stay at home, he will never fully get that. In the last days you have made many attempts to get Michael to do something with you. You realized that the relationship of the two of you is getting very much tested by all the fans and now also paparazzis. You do not want your relationship to get ruined and therefore are always trying to open Michael's eyes and make him realize that hiding himself at home will only make it worse but he does not want to think about it. Instead, the two of you are constantly fighting and you more and more give up on your relationship. It gets that far that you even doubt Michael's love for you. It's a day after a fight again, and you are lying in your bed and are trying to think of what to do next. You are tired of trying to save this relationship. It seems as if Michael has no interest in saving it and lately you have been showing the same attitude. You are barely behaving like a couple and are even afraid sometimes to say something because none of you wants to start another fight. But they are always somehow inevitable. You are thinking really hard, eagerly trying to find a solution for this problem. Sighing, you give up after a while. You close your eyes, trying to isolate you from the world, and even when you hear your phone ring, you don't make any attempts to look who it is. After your phone goes off for the third time in a row, you assume it must be something important, otherwise the caller would have stopped calling. Panicking a little after you see that it is Michael, you exhale and inhale deeply before picking it up. "Hey" you mumble into the end of your phone. "Hey, everything okay? I've been calling and almost freaked out when you weren't picking up. I guess you're mad at me." His voice turns into a whisper at his guess, almost as if he is afraid of the answer, which softens you a little. "No, I was just taking a little nap" you lie. "Oh. I didn't wake you up, or? No, I did. I'm sorry." "It's okay. I should've woken up a long time ago. You just did me a little favour." Your heart cringes a little at the continuation of your small lie but you have no other choice. In order to not worsen the fight you have to avoid new topics over which you can possibly fight. "Oh. Listen, Y/N. I'm sorry. The things I've said yesterday were very much...inappropriate and I'm really, really sorry" Michael says. "It's...it's not really okay but I am also not that innocent when it comes to our fight yesterday. And I'm sorry too." Michael sighs relieved and you can hear the smile in his voice, "Do you have any plans for tomorrow? I wanted to meet up with you." "No, no plans." "Great. So you can come?" "Yeah." "Wear something nice. Not really fancy, just nice." "Uhm, okay. I will. Bye." "Bye." You wonder what this all is about but not for long, since you will find out tomorrow anyway. The next day, you start preparing at six and are waiting for him exactly at 7 pm next to the surf shop near the beach. "Hey" Michael says, as he approaches you. He is wearing a white shirt and a nice jeans, somehow looking extra good. "Hey" you respond, as you give him a small hug. Michael takes out a handkerchief and walks behind you. "I have to blindfold you, since it's a surprise but don't worry, I'm here." You nod and let him guide you. After a five minutes, he takes the blindfold away and you inspect your surrouding. You are on the beach now, the sand under your feet, the ocean on your right and...Your heart drops a little when you see the table in front of you which is decorated like a candle light dinner table. "Surprise" Michael says low and smiles blushingly. "I know it's a little cheesy but I wanted to do something special." You try to say something but the lump in your throat makes it impossible. "Y/N, what is it?" Michael asks, after he sees your watery eyes and cups your cheeks. You shake your head and take a step back. "I-I'm sorry Michael b-but I can't" you sob. Michael gets more and more confused and does not know what to do. "This is sweet, it really is. But do you think this will save our relationship?" You continue after seeing that he won't say anything. "I was thinking a lot lately and...Michael, I don't love you anymore." He frowns instantly, not believing what he is hearing. "There is so much going on and the constant fighting, it.." "I can change" Michael cuts you off, and you need a moment to process what he has sad. "No," you shake your head, "You are perfect. Don't change for anyone, not even for me." "Then why are you breaking up?" "Some things just end. And I think our love ended." "I love you" Michael says, shaking his head. "Do you? Are you sure?" Michael does not reapond and you don't even expect him to. You put your arms around his neck and hug him tightly, he hugs you back, even tighter. "Goodbye Michael" you whisper. "Bye" he breathes with a pained expression on his face. You wish the best for this boy and hope that this will change you to something better
