Manic Monday

Chapter 5

"Miss Mareu.." I heard a soft voice whisper. I groan and turn around in my comfy bed.

"Miss Mareu." I heard the same voice call a bit louder now. I frown as I groan while tossing and turning, getting annoyed.

"STORMLYN!" I heard a loud shout and I quickly jump up. "What!?" I respond with a yell.

"Sorry to disturb you miss, but, school is starting in 30 minutes. You overslept. I thought you would appreciate being reminded." I heard James apoligetic voice echo.

"Oh shit!" I said a bit loud and my hands instantly shot over my mouth. "I mean thanks James. I'm up now." I quickly disguised my rude remark.

"You're welcome, miss." I heard James said sweetly before I heard his footsteps and then it disappeared.

I quickly toss myself to the side of my bed, grabbing my phone. Oh shit. I never put the music off yesterday when Kaidan came over. It must have played itself flat. And that's why I overslept. My alarm couldn't go off since it died.

I sighed as I quickly got out of bed, grabbing a pair of skinny ripped jeans, a black t-shirt and some black and white sneakers. I quickly went to freshen up and perfumed myself in all the right places, before I grabbed my cross necklace and a cap. I quickly got dressed appropriately and added a bit of black eyeliner to my eyes.

Today is monday. Whoo hoo! Note the sarcasm people...

I grabbed my school bag and my personal bag along with it, making my way downstairs.

"BYE JAMES!" I sang as I yelled before opening the front door to leave. I rushed outside before I could hear a reply from him. I've got manners... But I didn't say they were good manners LOL.

I quickly took my car keys out of the compartment for where they keep the car keys, and unlocked my car. I jumped in my beautiful Mazda 3, she's pitch black with red mags and aero kit. I love cars, but don't ask me anything about the engines. I will flat out give you the 'are you serious?' look. (Lol) But I love to accessorize them though :D. Anyway, I checked the time, still 7 minutes left. Phew! It will only take me 2 minutes to get there.

I took off driving to school, and in a few I was pulling into the school parking lot. As I parked, I spotted a group of people. And in that group.. Danny and Kaidan. Oeh... Interesting. Didn't know they were hangin'.

I switched off my car's engine and grabbed my bags before I jump out and quickly lock my door. As I turn around beginning to walk with my face still down because I'm fiddeling in my bag to put away my keys, I bumped into something solid, making me lose my balance a bit and drop my bag. For pete's sake!

I groaned as I quickly regained myself swearing under my breath, not even bothering to look up. I bend down to grab my bag, once again colliding with something hard.

"Ouch!" I moaned as I brought my hand up to rub my head.

"Yeah right back at ya." I heard non other than Kaidan groan also. He's such a baby.. Thought he's a tough vampire.

"What do you want?" I asked sounding bored.

"What? I'm not allowed to see you at school?" He asks a bit irritated at my question. I sigh as I stand back up, him following in my shadow.

"Dude, look, I get that you want to be friends. But I'm late for class. So please cut me some slack will ya?" I ask as I keep my face straight.

He glares at me for a minute, then replies: "Fine, but lunch your mine." He lifts an eyebrow at me waiting impatiently for my agreement.
