Part XXIV - Promise

From this day now on, I made a promise to myself.

I made a promise not to be a selfish person.

I was selfish, I didn't think about the others around me. My mom...

Apparently, my dad, who suddenly appeared, left again after my death. Following that, my mom became depressed. Toshinori tried to cheer her up but she was just too sad about my... "death".

- Izuku?
- Hm?
- Can you just do one single thing for me?

I looked at her and smiled slightly before nodding.

- Don't leave me ever again... my son...

I smiled and hugged her.

- Don't worry mom, I'm not leaving. Not anymore.

After that, everything seemed to have gone back to normal.

Everyone was pretty shaken by our sudden "resurrection" as it looked to them, but in the end, everything turned out okay.

We went back into the dorms and continued our lives as students.

Each one of us had decided they would finish all three years here. As for me... I agreed with that.

But becoming a hero wasn't my goal...

Years went by and now, I was finally going to graduate.

I was walking with Ochako and Tenya through the town. We were going to a café to meet with the other three rats, who had invited us to each lunch with them.

- I can't wait to graduate from this place! It was getting tiring man! said Tenya.
- Same, I said. Aizawa-sensei is a pain the ass.

Ochako laughed.

- Izu you get bored by everything and everyone, no wonder he annoyed you.
- Yeah yeah.

As we were walking, my ears catched on a noise.

I stopped dead in my tracks. The noise seemed to come from the alley right beside us.

- You ok Izu?
- Wait here...

I walked towards the dark alley. I couldn't see anything.

Suddenly, a hand flew towards me.

I dodged right in time to see him.

- Shigaraki...

He chuckled as Ochako and Tenya ran behind me.

- Long time no see, my precious little students.
- What do you want, you monster?! shouted Tenya.
- Ohhh! I just want a simple little thing...

He flashed a crooked smile at us.

- Your quirks!

He bounced at us. Thankfully, we dodged just in time.

He chuckled like a maniac non-stop.

- I WANT YOUR QUIRK! I WANT YOUR QUIRK!

He kept jumping on us, without actually fighting us seriously.

He was crazy. He looked like a drug addict.

He suddenly started muttering something, all while still laughing uncontrollably.

- Master will be happy... I need to please master... master! MASTER!

He jumped at us yet again.
