Chapter Thirty-One: "I Would Love To Get Into A Cheating Scandal."

THE FIRST PERSON TO enter my room when I had come back from Venice was Krystal.

Correction. She was already in my room, standing by my mirror and taking selfies. She didn't even notice me enter until I had photobombed the picture, throwing up a peace sign before shrugging my bag off. The second she pocketed her phone, she pointed at me, "You and-"

"Fake Fake." I moved my way past her, dropping the rest of my bags on my bed. My earrings came off first, then my pants to change into basketball shorts and athletic socks.

News traveled fast, the internet was at everyone's fingers. It wouldn't take long for everyone to ask me about this. My phone had been constantly pinging from messages from friends and too many acquaintances. Krystal, who spends more time on her phone in a week then I probably do in a month, was definitely going to be the first one out of my group to find out. I spent two minutes of the almost three hour car ride trying to figure out what to say to everyone.

However, the rest of that car ride with Caleb left me near delirious. Possibly because of what we had done the previous night and the knowledge of what I knew he was capable of doing.

"Is it possible to not look at someone's hands the same anymore?" I murmured to myself before shaking the thought-any thought like that out of my head. It was a one-time thing.

I walked into my closet, repeating that in my head repeatedly as I swapped my underwear for a sports bra.

Besides, what better way to release the tension that I basically created for myself then with exercise before work? There was a different way I could release that tension, but I didn't want to even think about engaging in that type of self-loving when my two close friends lived in the same house as me and could barge in without a care in the world.

The number of times I've walked in on either of them in sexual acts without or with a person (sometimes more than one) was more than I could count on both hands.

Exiting the closet, I held my basketball under my arm and took my water bottle out of my bag, heading downstairs. Krystal followed closely behind me as I entered the kitchen to fill up my water bottle. "Okay, but-"

"He said it all to get the paps off my back about Keith," I explained just as I made eye contact with Angie. She was wearing almost an identical outfit to mine, her black hair high up in a ponytail, a bright headband pushing the strands away. Ready to ball, just like me.

We all walked out of the kitchen; Krystal typing on her phone with her nice green acrylics which I wish I could get but promised myself I would after the movie. I was seriously going to talk to Caleb about writing in a character that at least likes to paint their nails. But I couldn't complain. I enjoyed playing Addison and a frown crossed my face at the thought of filming being over. And leaving Italy.

I passed Angie the basketball in the middle of the corridor, grabbing my ball shoes out of the closet near the front to put them on.

We exited the house and I threw my water on the grass, jogging over to the basketball court set up against the garage of the driveway. Angie tossed me the ball and I dribbled hard, taking a one-two step before the ball released from my hand, hitting the backboard before going into the net. I let it touch the ground a couple of times before getting it, bounce passing it to Angie.

Krystal sat on the steps of the house as Angie opened her mouth, passing me the ball once more. "So, you and Caleb are basically doing a PR stunt?"
