At the foot of the bed, Flip is solemnly watching her.
MARIA: (V.O.) He decided that it was time to tell the boy's mother the truth...
FLIP: Mother, I wish you could also love me as I am.

Flip makes a magical drawing
A) In Maria's studio. He carefully tears a sheet off Maria's old sketch pad; then
B) He presses his hand on the paper. It briefly radiates a breathing white light (similar to the pulsating, living light when the dragon touched the boy) accompanied by tongues of fire, and magical shapes and symbols;
MARIA: (V.O.) The dragon's revelation cost him half of his magic. But there was no other way.
C) Maria's room. Flip places the blank drawing sheet on Maria's wheelchair;
D) He walks to the door, tosses her a look, then exits, gently closing the door.
FLIP: (V.O.) Now you will know who I am.
INT. MARIA'S HOUSE/front yard – night
Flip, carrying a duffel bag, is sadly walking away from the house...
MARIA: (V.O.) The dragon left the boy's mother without goodbye. For he blamed himself for everything.
...he stops, looks back for the last time. Tears race down his cheeks...
