MARIA: (V.O.) The dragon had the time of his life with the boy's unsuspecting mother.
BACK TO SCENE
Maria puts the cake in front of her son.
She is suddenly ashen gray, reeling a bit.
The smile is frozen on her face but there's not a trace of awareness in her eyes.
She collapses on the floor.
MARIA: (V.O.) The boy's mother had cancer. But the dragon didn't understand it.
Flip is utterly stunned, speechless.
Everything comes to a standstill.
MARIA: (V.O.) For dragons never get sick. They never grow old. And they never die.
EXT. NEVERTOON/"THE FROG PRINCE" PLANET - DAY
We see the castle setting of "The Frog Prince" fairy tale. In the garden, a FROG is chasing a rolling ball.
MARIA: (V.O.) A dimension away, the boy discovered that every fairy tale on Earth had a parallel planet in Nevertoon, the world of magic.
