THE ROBOT
It has a spherical head the size of a car with an expressive face of two protruding round eyes and a wide-grinning mouth.
It has a wiry body that looks like an electric post with mechanical arms and feet.
As a whole, the robot is more like a humongous high-tech version of a child's stick figure drawing.
But inside its head, Earth's greatest menace...
INSIDE THE ROBOT'S HEAD
We see a cockpit controlled by Dr. Max Killro.
He speaks in a deep human voice with a distant mechanical buzz.
DR. KILLRO: In time, Moon Dragon, in time...
We hear Flip's voice...
FLIP: (V.O.) Mom!
INT. MARIA'S HOUSE/PORCH – DAY
Maria walks out to the porch carrying a sprinkler to water her plants.
Flip and chubby nine-year old black boy LUTHER, both riding a bicycle, come to a screeching halt in front of the porch.
LUTHER: Good morning, Mrs. McKnight!
MARIA: Good morning, Luther!
FLIP: Mom, can we go to Rosie's Diner for ice cream?
MARIA: As long as you boys get back before noontime.
