5 Months Later……..

Charlotte’s POV

“Harry! We have to be at that meeting in 15 minutes!” I yelled up the stairs.

“I’m coming!” he called back.

In the past 5 months, Harry, Niall, and Zayn have become best friends again as if nothing ever happened. The only problem is that Louis and Liam still speak to Harry only when they have to.

The boys have finished recording their new album and it instantly went to the #1 spot on the UK and U.S charts.

I am now 9 months pregnant and due any day, so we’re being extra careful.

Today, the boys have a final tour confirmation meeting before we leave in 2 weeks for the month long tour. The boys don’t want to leave their wives for a whole month, so our mothers have volunteered to watch them for that time.

As I was sliding on my shoes, I felt a sharp pain in my lower back, causing me to bend over grip my side.

Harry chose that moment to walk out of the kitchen.

“Charlotte? Are you okay?” he asked worriedly.

“Yeah, um, the baby just kicked,” I lied.

Harry didn’t need to worry about normal pregnancy pains when he had to deal with Liam and Louis today.

I started to step out of the front door when I heard Harry chuckle.

“What?” I asked curiously.

“You’re wearing two different shoes,” he said before laughing again.

I blushed instantly, forgetting that I can’t see over my huge stomach anymore. Harry smiled at me before handing me a matching pair of shoes.

“Shut up,” I muttered.

“Aw, are you embarrassed?” he joked while wrapping his arms around me.

“No; get off me,” I said stubbornly.

“You know you love me; admit it,” he said.

I frowned at him for a minute as he raised his eyebrows and brought his hands to my stomach.

“Say you love me,” he warned.

“Or what?” I asked.

His fingers started running over my sides, tickling me with no mercy. My giggles filled the room and Harry grinned evilly at me.

“Okay okay! I love you!” I said.

“Good; I love you too,” he said before pecking me on the lips.

We rushed out the door, our little exchange causing us to be extremely late. I waited outside the conference room with the other girls while the boys talked to Simon.

“I wish management would let us take our kids on tour,” Killian sighed.

“Me too,” agreed Ashley.

“This baby better come soon, or I’ll be going on tour pregnant,” I commented, pointing to my stomach.

Just after finishing that sentence, another shooting pain ran through my back. I gasped out in pain while clenching my eyes shut.

“Are you okay?” Briana asked worriedly while coming to kneel in front of me.

“Yeah, just the baby kicking,” I lied.

“That didn’t look like just a kick. You’re in labor, aren’t you?” Killian asked in alarm.

“I think I might be,” I admitted.

“Well? Let’s go get Harry!” said Ashley.

“No, wait!” I said, gripping her arm to stop her. “At least let them finish their meeting! I can wait.”

The girls gave me doubtful looks before resuming their sitting positions on the chairs.

30 minutes later, the door finally opened and Niall and Zayn came out, greeted me, and left with their wives into the elevator, Liam quickly following. Louis came out and grabbed Killian’s hand before pulling her towards the elevator.

“Oops, I left my phone in the conference room,” I heard Louis say up ahead.

“Go and get it; I’ll just meet you downstairs,” she said before getting in the elevator.

After the elevator doors closed, both Louis and Harry came out of the conference room, not speaking a word to each other. We all stepped into the same elevator and stayed silent as the doors closed, starting our descent.

We were halfway down when the elevator screeched to a stop.

“What the hell?” Louis muttered.

The lights went out in the elevator briefly before the red emergency lights came on.

“What’s going on?” I asked.

“Looks like the elevator is broken, and we’re stuck,” said Harry.

“Well, this is really bad,” I said worriedly.

“Why?” asked Louis.

I took a deep breath as another pain shot through my back.

“I’m in labor.”
