Well hello there :3 I haven't updated in a while and I'm sorry but I was busy and I was writing a lot for one of my other fanfics so I basically had to put this story on hold :( but I am back yay!! I hope this chapter isn't too bad

Luke's POV

Everywhere I went, I saw HIM. Ashton hasn't left my mind since I talked to him at the library. He makes me go crazy, and I'm so confused over my emotions towards him. Ashton is beautiful, he is kind, he is shy and adorable. I couldn't help but think those things about him.

Ashton was right about The Fault in Our Stars. It was a bit girly, but I couldn't put it down. I was sickly obsessed with it. Maybe half of the reason why I love it is because it reminds me of Ashton.

As I go through my mail, I scowl at the bills I haven't paid yet. I'm still scraping up money to pay for last months rent. I'm lucky I still have this place. I feel pressured to pay everything off.

Music is my passion. So music is my job. I think that people should do what they love, not some lonely office job that they're only doing to get money. I don't want to waste my life on something I don't enjoy doing.

Although I can't help but think that way, I am in a desperate situation. And I need all the money I can get. Maybe I could look for a second job in town. I'm sure there's some places hiring.

I sigh and get up from the couch. It's worth a shot.

Throwing on a light jacket and my black Vans, I set out on a search.

******(time skip)

I briskly walk all around London, looking for anything, really.

I am not thinking of where I'm going, so found myself in a park area. The sound of kids running around, yelling after each other and a stressed out mom trying to control them makes my head hurt, but I smile. I guess I may not look like it, but I loved kids. They're a bit annoying at times, yeah, but they're also fun to be around. Kids are like little balls of energy and sunshine.

I let my thoughts wander as I stroll through the park, the cool breeze hitting my face. I wonder if Ashton likes kids, too. He seems like he would. I felt my heart melt as I thought about Ashton with kids. How cute would that be?

I almost smack my forehead. I'm thinking about Ashton again.

I almost decide to just go home, since this job search has been pointless so far. But, I knew how badly I needed another job, so I walked back into downtown, away from the park.

I scan the shops while walking along on the sidewalk.

A bakery? No. I can't bake anything for shit.

A flower shop? Haha, no. I kill every plant I touch.

Suddenly, a particular store sign at the corner of the street catches my eye.

A music store. It looked it bit like a hipster kind of place, but it had actual records and CDs. Interesting.

I opened the door, and a bell chimed as I came in. Making sure I didn't trip over my own feet, I look around for an employee. The store is empty. I take a look around. There are racks filled with records put in place by genre and artist. Yellow labels were placed everywhere to keep things in order. I began to flip through the records, occasionally smiling when I recognize an album. I end up taking out a Nirvana record. This is fucking awesome!

"Oh my god, are you going to rob me?" I snap my head up. A guy, who looks about my age, now stands behind the counter.

Where the fuck did he come from?

He has an Australian accent, which is a little bit surprising since we're in London. His biceps are definitely bigger than mine, and his jawline could sharpen a knife. Though it seems like I should be intimidated, I'm not. The guys fluffy dark hair and cute facial features made him look like a puppy.

I set down the record I was holding.

"Um, no?" He raised his eyebrow. I didn't mean for that to come out as a question, so I guess he had the right to think I was going to steal one of his Nirvana records. Whatever.

"So, you were gonna rob me?" I start to laugh at that. He probably thinks I'm insane now.

"No, I was never going to rob you. I just kind of was looking for a job, um, you're store seemed cool, so I walked in and no one was here, and I began to look around." I clarified, stammering a bit. I can't help but be extremely awkward sometimes. His features visibly relaxed.

"Oh, okay I get it." He chuckles, waving everything off. He suddenly looked jokingly serious.

"Good thing you said that, or I would've gotten my baseball bat out." That sent us both into hysterical laughter.

"Oh my god, what the hell!" I exclaim in between breathes of laughter. Once we both calm down, the guy smiles at me, extending his hand over the counter for me to shake. I take it, smiling back.

"Hey, I'm Calum by the way."

"I'm Luke."
