Chapter 31

**Carter's POV**

"Oh, Carter calm down!! I know you two will need to be married first!"

"Mom!! Ryan and I haven't even talked about marriage or kids. We just started dating"

My mom sighed "Ok Carter"

The rest of dinner went well and my parents finally stopped asking us all these questions.

"Well, I suppose we'll head out" my mom said gathering her things

"It was nice to meet you, Ryan. We'll see you later, princess" my dad said

"Bye mom, bye dad. Love you guys. See y'all later"

I watched my parents drive off then I shut the door

"Thank goodness they're gone!" I said chugging the glass of wine that was on the table

"Come on, baby. It wasn't that bad" Ryan said rubbing my shoulders

"How about I go run us a bath, and we clean this stuff up tomorrow?" I suggested

"Sounds amazing"

I went to the bathroom that was connected to Ryan's bedroom and ran a warm bath.

"I can't believe cupcake slept the whole time" Ryan said

"Me either, but that was a good plan on her part"

"Is the bath ready?"

"Yeah, I was just gonna put this bath bomb in it."

"Well, throw it in and let's go"

I giggled and put the peach scented bath bomb in the tub. Ryan and I stripped our clothes off then we slipped into the tub

"I was thinking..." Ryan said

"About?"

"What your mom said about kids and marrige"

"I don't want kids."

"Like at all?"

"Not for a while if at all"

"What about marrige"

"I'd love to be married. I mean I was so close to it, but if I found my perfect man I'd marry him in a heartbeat"

"Would you marry me?"

"Are you asking me?"

"Not officially. I just wanna know when I do propose you'll say yes"

"If you asked me right this second....I would say yes"

"Really?"

I nodded and bit my lip "I love you, Ryan"

"I love you too, Carter"

Later that night

I threw myself on the bed I was so exhausted.

"I'm glad the visit is over. That was stressing me out." I said as Ryan joined me on the bed

"Well, just think you have this week of work then you'll have a whole week off for thanksgiving"

"Can we just lay in bed all week?"

Ryan chuckled "Whatever you want....princess"

"Ew! Don't call me that! I hate that name" I said hitting Ryan with a pillow

Ryan laughed "why does your dad call you that?"

"No idea. He's called me that since I was a little girl. I hate it now that I'm older"

"Well, I promise to not ever call you that again"

"You're amazing." I said kissing him

"You're the amazing one. You had to deal with not only my family but my band and crew members. Not to mention you still haven't met Angelo or Balz"

"I kinda want to meet this Balz character."

"Well, lucky for you it can be arranged"

I can't believe I'm this far into the book and I haven't had Balz in here yet!!! Shame on me!!!! Anyway, small spoiler alert which I'm sure you've already guessed it Balz will be in the next chapter!!
