Chapter 14

Abbey’s P.O.V

I don’t remember what happened four days ago except for passing out straight after Zander put me down on the couch and when I woke up I found out that I was in Zander’s new apartment because I have nowhere to live. It has been hell though; living without Jordan in my life has been hell.

My days have been longer and I haven’t been able to drink at all. If I bump into anything at all I get a purple bruise almost immediately. I grow tired everyday even though I know I’ve had enough sleep. I’ve had to go “home” early during the day because I’ve fainted or been sick during class and you know what the worst part was, when I could see Jordan in the corner of the class holding himself back from coming to help me.

I’m glad that he has kept his distance though, even though I might sit by myself staring at my food while he gets mad at any boys who come near me even if it’s perfectly clear they’re going to the rubbish bin.

It’s amazing just how much I actually miss him though, right now I’m sitting at my empty spot in the cafeteria while watching his every move which by the way it isn’t much as he stares right back at me with the same amount of intensity.

It felt as though it was completely silent in the cafeteria as I stared at him. Looking away before I started crying I picked up my soup spoon and shakily tried to get some soup on it but as I was bringing the spoon to my lips, my hand started shaking again and spilled all the soup back into the bowl. The lack of food was starting to catch up on my body leaving me utterly helpless.  

I looked back up at were Jordan was sitting but found his seat completely empty. I let out a shaky breath and tried controlling the depressed feeling at the bottom of my stomach.

“When was the last time you ate sweet pea” a soft murmur of a voice spoke from above me.

I looked up at Jordan’s towering figure and then spoke with a simple “I don’t know”.

He sat down sharply next to me before speaking “You have to eat! I will not stay away anymore! It’s tearing you apart slowly and it pains me to see you like this.”

He grabbed my spoon out of my hand and got some soup before feeding me. It was weird being this close to him again; I could just feel the sparks as soon as he had sat down.

“I’ve missed you” I said quietly.

“Baby doll it has been hell being away from you. I’m just so sorry for what I did I uh I will explain everything after school” he gently caressed my cheek.

“Ok” I said simply before opening my mouth for another spoon of soup.

Now before you all start getting mad I do not forgive him yet if that’s what you think this is. Though he may scare me and give me chills down to the bone I can’t just let him go without an explanation as to why he acted out like he did. He did say he would never hurt me and I believed him and maybe something just happened that made him like he was.

The bell sounded and I stood up with Jordan copying my actions and picking my bag up for me, which I’m glad because I’m to weak to even try. He followed me all the way to my gym class before putting my bag down on a seat and turning to me.

“I’ll drive you to my house at the end of the day so wait for me ok” he said hopefully.

“Jordan listen I’m giving you a chance to explain yourself to me but that doesn’t mean I can trust you just yet so maybe instead we should go to Zander’s” I whispered weakly.

“Uh….yeah um sure I guess” he said sounding doubtful at first.

Leaning down he softly kissed my cheek before walking out of the gym and leaving me to my sorrow filled state.

I waited at the entrance of the school for Jordan and sighed as I closed my eyes and leaned all my weight onto the wall. I’m completely exhausted right now, all the sleepless nights and not eating is catching up onto me and is bringing me closer to fainting every second.

I opened my eyes as I could hear Jordan getting closer to me and pushed off the wall to make myself look like I was ok. Not even ten seconds later Jordan opened the door and his eyes found me within seconds. I stood there as his eyes kept me glued to the floor. He walked over to me before taking my bag of my shoulders and walking to his car and opening the passenger door for me.

I sat down and said thank you before watching him walk quickly over to the driver seat. It was quite awkward for me as I sat in the car trying to keep my distance but also trying to make it less obvious. I let out a sigh of relief as Zander’s house came into view.

Stepping up to the door of the house I lifted my shaky hand up to the key hole and tried to unlock the door but found out I couldn’t because of my shaky hand. Jordan sighed beside me before placing his hand over mine and helping me unlock the door.

He opened the door for me and waited till I walked in before closing it behind him.

“Zander” I called out.

I waited a bit and looked around the house to find that Jordan and I were all alone. Walking closer to Jordan I looked up at him with a reassuring smile.

“I believe you have some explaining mister”.

A/N: Guys guess what?.......WE GOT ONE MILLION READS AAAHHHHHHHHH. I screamed so much when I saw you have no clue how happy I am! I’ve told my family and my friends and my gosh you have no clue how happy I am so I want to say a huge thank you!!! Sorry the chapter was late, I was going to update last night but just couldn’t get anything good and I didn’t want to upload a really bad chapter and then regret it.
