{Y/N} stands at the console with the Doctor across from her, Rose walks in.

"What's the emergency?" she asks.

"It's mauve" the Doctor replies.

"Mauve?"

"The universally recognised colour for danger" {Y/N} says.

"What happened to red?"

"That's just humans. By everyone else's standards, red's camp. Oh, the misunderstandings. All those red alerts, all that dancing. It's got a very basic flight computer. I've hacked in, slaved the Tardis. Where it goes, we go" {Y/N} smiles.

"I love it when she hacks into things" the Doctor says with a smile, both {Y/N} and Rose look at him with raised eyebrows "she better than me at hacking things" he clarifies.

"And that's safe, is it?"

"Totally" suddenly a large bang echoes throughout the room. Ok, reasonably. Should have said reasonably there. No, no, no, no! It's jumping time tracks, getting away from us" {Y/N} and the Doctor both start running around the controls.

"What exactly is this thing?" Rose asks pointing to the screen.

"No idea!" {Y/N} says.

"Then why are we chasing it?"

"It's mauve and dangerous, and about thirty seconds from the centre of London."

*Time Skip*

"Do you know how long you can knock around space without happening to bump into Earth?" the Doctor asks as the three step out of the TARDIS.

"Five days? Or is that just when we're out of milk?" Rose asks.

"Of all the species in all the Universe and it has to come out of a cow" {Y/N} says, looking around "must have come down somewhere quite close. Within a mile, anyway. And it can't have been more than a few weeks ago, maybe a month."

"A month? We were right behind it."

"It was jumping time tracks all over the place. We're bound to be a little bit out. Do you want to drive?" the Doctor says putting his hand on his hips.

"Yeah. How much is a little?"

"A bit."

"Is that exactly a bit?"

"Ish."

"What's the plan, then? Are you two going to do a scan for alien tech or something?"

"Rose" {Y/N} starts "it hit the middle of London with a very loud bang. We're going to ask" the Doctor pulls his psychic paper out and shows her.

"Doctor John Smith, Ministry of Asteroids and his associate" Rose reads, with a raised eyebrow.

"Wow..." {Y/N} says shaking her head "Really?" she asks looking at the Doctor.

"What?" {Y/N} sighs "anyway, it's psychic paper. It tells you..."

"Whatever you want it to tell me, I remember" they soon come to a door which was marked 'deliveries Only.'

"Sorry" he says looking down.

"Not very Spock, is it, just asking."

"Door, music, people. What do you think?" He asks looking at Rose.

"I think you should do a scan for alien tech. Give me some Spock, for once. Would it kill you?" the Doctor sighs dramatically and opens the door with his sonic and looks at Rose's Union Flag top.

"Are you sure about that t-shirt?" he asks.

"Too early to say. I'm taking it out for a spin" she replies shrugging.

"Come on if you're coming. It won't take a minute" the Doctor walks in followed by {Y/N}, they both follows a waiter through a bead curtain to where a saxophonist and jazz band is accompanying a woman in 1940s clothes.

"For nobody else gave me the thrill. When I have uphold silence still, it had to be you, wonderful you. It had to be you" the Doctor takes the woman's place at the microphone, with {Y/N} next to him.

"Excuse me. Excuse me. Could I have everybody's attention just for a moment? Be very quick. Hello! Might seem like a stupid question, but has anything fallen from the sky recently?" the room is silent for a moment until everyone starts laughing "sorry, have I said something funny? It's just, there's this thing that we need to find. Would've fallen from the sky a couple of days ago" that's when a siren sounds and everyone starts to leave "would've landed quite near here. With a very loud..."

"Quickly as you can, down to the shelter" that's when {Y/N} notices a poster on the wall she squints to see it better 'Hitler will send no warning!' she hits the Doctor's shoulder and points he looks and bites his lip.

"...Bang" he quickly takes {Y/N} by the hand and drags her back out to the alleyway.

"Rose?" {Y/N} calls, but all she gets in response is a cat meowing, the Doctor walks over to the cat and picks it up.

"You know, one day, just one day, maybe, I'm going to meet someone who gets the whole don't wander off thing. Nine hundred years of phone box travel, it's the only thing left to surprise me" he says talking to the cat, that's when the phone that sat on the outside of the TARDIS starts ringing, {Y/N} and the Doctor share looks and {Y/N} walks over to the phone opining the small door that it was behind.

"How can you be ringing? What's that about, ringing? What am I supposed to do with a ringing phone?" {Y/N} says getting out her sonic as the Doctor joins her tilting his head at the phone.

"Don't answer it. It's not for you" {Y/N} and the Doctor turn around to see a young women standing there.

"And how do you know that?" the Doctor asks.

"'Cos, I do. And I'm telling you, don't answer it."

"Well, if you know so much, tell me this. How can it be ringing? It's not even a real phone. It's not connected, it's not..." {Y/N} starts but the women has gone, {Y/N} shrugs and turns back to the phone "Who's answering it? Me or you?" the Doctor reaches for the phone and answers it, putting it in between {Y/N} and himself.

"Hello? Hello? This is the Doctor speaking. How may I help you?"

"Mummy? Mummy?"

"Who is this? Who's speaking?"

"Are you my mummy?"

"Who is this?"

"Mummy?"

"How did you ring here? This isn't a real phone. It's not wired up to anything."

"Mummy?" the dialling tone rings out through the line and the Doctor puts the phone back in its spot, and knocks on the TARDIS doors.

"Rose? Rose, are you in there?" that's when the Doctor and {Y/N} hear a sound and start running out of the alley.
