Battle Scars

This is a reinhardt one shot for my friend and it was a request from izzygam. Tbh, I have no clue how to write this so I'm going to try my best and rock this. And I used some German words, the translation is the () after the German sentence. ENJOY 😆

Normal POV
(Y/N) sat in the emergency room hoping and praying that Reinhardt was alright. Tears blurred your vision as you tried to hold back a sob. 12 Hours After Surgery/ Your POV
You sat in a chair next to Reinhardt's bed, holding his enormous hand with your smaller hands. The doctor said that he wont be able to see out of his left eye and that he's lucky to be alive, since he had 4 broken ribs, a concussion, punctured lung, blood loss, and his in coma. "Please wake up." You choked down a sob, trying to be strong. "Please wake up." You kiss the bandage on his eye and stroke his sleeping face. "I love you Rein, I'll see you when you wake up."

Two Months Later

Reinhardt groaned in pain, his eyes were greeted with a glare of light. "Was ist passiert?" (What happened). He sat up, despite his body's protests. He felt his head pounding against his skull, "Mein Kopf." he groaned. (My head) He felt something holding his hand, look to his left he saw you sleeping quietly next to him. "Meine Geliebte." (My love) He whispered. You smile in your sleep, as he caresses your cheek. You open your eyes to see a your gentle giant smiling at you, "Rein! You're Awake!" You wrap your arms around his neck. "I missed you." You wipe tears from your eyes. "And I missed you more Meine Geliebte." He kissed your forehead. "I'm sorry I worried you." He pulled you into a warm bone crushing hug. "Ugh...Rein you crushing me." You squeak, as you fell air escape your lungs. "You really should be resting, you're still injured." He released you from his death grip, "I rather be fighting on the battle field with my fellow crusaders." He bellowed, a wave of sadness came over you. "Rein, do you remember what happened?" He looked puzzled, "Do you know where you are?" He looked around, noticing a monitor and that he was in a hospital gound. He memory hit him like a bus. "How long have I been in the hospital?" He looked at you with concern. "Two months." You take his hand, "You were fighting with the Crusaders, to stop the omnics from advancing. And during the fight you were badly injured." He looked at you with his one good eye. "Where are the others?" "Some are still missing others are......." You stop talking, making him look at you. "Are what?" You stay silent and look at you lap. "Are what (Y/N)?" Reinhardt asked again.

"Dead."

"What?"

"They're dead." You choked down a sob, Reinhardt grips the sheets tightly. "So I might be the last crusader?" He sighed and released the sheets. "But I won't let it get me down."

"Rein."

"The rest may be dead but I'm still standing, and I won't give in til the war is over." He smiled at you, "I have to keep my country and wife safe." "And you future children" You smile. "And I will fight for the future of our children." He smiled, "You know....I might have to call you cyclops now." You giggle. Reinhardt gives you a confused look, "Why?" "Because you only have one eye now." You kiss his bandaged eye, making him laugh. "That is fine by me, as long as I still have you." He kisses you're soft lips. "Meine Geliebte." "I...love you...... Reinhardt." You manage to say between kisses. "And I the same." He said pulling you closer to him."
