Thank you aammeelliiaa25 for the awesome cover art!

I swear it's like being with a five year old kid; she gets out of the car and wants to race me to the door.

She looks back with her cute little face scrunched up when I'm not running after her. Her gesture basically What the hell?

"I'm not five Av, I'll walk thanks," I say in a tone that kind of reminds me of how my Mum talks to me when she thinks I'm dong something immature. That's scary.

Avalon shrugs, "Ah well, I guess I will have a few minutes by myself to get your Pop up to speed on what you've been up to."

She bolts, and I'm on her heels. The little bugger is a fast runner and when she gets inside the doors she swings around on one and tries to lock me out. I push my foot it and shove it open.

She's laughing, "Who's not five?"

"Me, I'm just trying to stop my poor Grandfather from thinking he has a... pimp or something as a grandson. Who the hell knows what crap you will make up about him?"

I sigh and walk toward the desk.

The nurse looks very sternly at Avalon, I glance at Satan, she is smiling that innocent smile. I see the nurse's hard line waver, I roll my eyes. That smile can melt the hardest of hearts

"Hi, what room is Terry Parks in please?"

"Room 45," she tells us the directions. I can see Av tense in readiness so I reach down and grab her hand before she can take off.

"Ew," she tries to pull it out of mine, but I grip on tightly. "What the heck?" she asks as I pull her down the hall.

'I don't want you to bowl over some poor old dude by running off down the hall like a lunatic," I hiss at her.

"Bull crap! You just want your Pop to think you're with someone awesome," she smiles smugly at my jaw dropping response.

I have a million comes backs shoot through my brain for that one but don't get to use them as we come to the room.

For some reason I'm suddenly nervous, I mean I haven't visited him for ages. What's he gonna think of me?

Avalon walks in pulling me with her, "Hey Poppy Parks, I've bought your wayward pimp of a grandson to see you." She smiles.

"Seth?" Pop asks confused, he puts down a surfing magazine he's reading and looks up at me; he has a huge grin on his face.

"Pop, please don't worry about her she's escaped from the mental hospital down the road, I just haven't taken her back yet." I glare at Avalon, who's plonked on the end of Pop's perfectly made bed.

"He took one look at me there and tried to get in himself, I had to save the others from maturity" she winks at me. She said 'maturity' like it was something she wouldn't go near with a ten foot pole.

'Oh god did you hafta come?" I growl at her. "Go find someone else to annoy."

"So how on earth did my pimp grandson get someone as attractive as you to come anywhere near him?" Pop asks her with an eyebrow raised. I forgot Pop's sense of humor would run riot with Avalon's.

"Pop," I groan in warning, "don't encourage her please. You have no idea what she's like." I sit down next to her on his bed. This is so I can throw my hand over her mouth if she beings to say anything incriminating.

"She looks like a lovely girl," Pop says chuckling.

"Yeah, if you're idea of lovely is on par with Satan himself," I drawl.
