I'm not even quite positive why that man with the red hair tips keeps showing up. There's something sketchy about this whole thing, I know that for a fact. When half of the house seemed to have nothing better to do but well..celebrate the fourth of July early, (see, get it? American joke! I can be funny... right?) I decided it was time to get the hell out of there. After all, I didn't want to be around when Kiros also turned on us and revealed her plan to take over the world with weapons of mass, messy destruction. If most of North America was going to explode anytime soon, I would want to be far, far away from it all..

with Chris?

The younger man was in my arms, and I tried my best not to fumble with him awkwardly. Things could get really messy back there..I couldn't help but feel a bit bad for abandoning them like that. I glanced down at the dozing Chris, trying to walk as swiftly as I could to avoid him waking up. Maybe I could just leave Chris by a tree and go back-

Wait a minute.

Who was there to save?

That stupid slut and the smart ass ginger? (Granted, if I could save one, it would be the ginger...)

Alright, I guess I would stay with Chris. I couldn't help but look down at him again. I was thankful that his wound was healing well-

Wait.

No.

I didn't.

I could care less if he died.

Then..why was I saving him?

Oh, god...

No...

Snap out of it, idiot! I shook my head quickly, noticing with dismay that my hair seemed to swish gently with the motion. Shit, I should've grabbed some hair gel before I left.

As the chaos and noise from the house faded as I got farther from the house, I couldn't help but question my own motives. We shouldn't be alone like this. It wasn't right. I still wasn't sure of Chris' commitment to well... his apparent "girlfriend".  I continued walking aimlessly, finding it harder to avoid harsher terrain that would cause me to make sudden movements and thus lead to Chris awakening. My hair was constantly being caught in the tiny branches of trees and other shrubbery surrounding us. I ducked quickly in irritation.

There was a sudden jolt from the body in my arms, and I felt Chris' muscles quickly tense. It didn't take a mind reader to know that he was confused, and probably terrified.

What surprised me, though, was how much he flailed. Did he really think he was being kidnapped? He was out of my arms suddenly, and before I knew it, I was being shoved into a tree. The tree made small snapping sounds beneath the bark, but it luckily didn't break. I guess I wasn't that heavy. I quickly recovered, keeping my back to him.

What the hell was that for? That little snot should be more grateful! I carefully adjusted my white headband, trying to place it back in it's perfect place, half tucked beneath some of my dark brown spikes. After I was sure it was fine, I flashed my most threatening glare at him. Maybe I could pull a move like a wolf could. You know, how wolves will make themselves look more frightening and threatening when trying to determine a more dominant wolf to another? Alright, so maybe I couldn't make my hair fluff up and bare huge fangs-

"What the hell, man?" Chris barked- er, yelled, crossing his arms.

I scowled, feeling my eyes narrow. "Don't you 'what the hell' me. I just saved your sorry American ass, that's what I did."

Chris straightened, pausing for a moment, his expression changing as if he was considering something.

What that something was, I didn't want to know. Probably some disgusting sexual act with his girlfriend. I felt my hands grip the torn fabric of my dark green cargo pants. He disgusted me so..
