"Maya? H- how have you been?" He says pushing his hands in his pockets

"I've been good. How's college?"

"Cool, cool. How about we catch up?"

Farkle walks out of Starbucks and takes out his phone. "Hi. It's me. We need to talk."

Farkle sits on the park bench as Riley walks up and sits.

"Hi Farkle. You called me?"

"Yea. I think you guys should talk it out." Farkle says

"Hi Riley." Lucas says walking up to the two.

"I don't want to talk to you right now Lucas."

"Riley please. Just hear him out." Farkle says

"Fine. Go ahead. Say what you need to say." Riley says as Farkle walks out of ear shot.

"I just wanted to say I'm sorry, okay?"

"Tell me something I don't know Lucas."

"Your going to have to forgive Maya and I sometime."

"I'm not saying I won't. Maya is my best friend and I want what's best for her. If your what's best for her, so be it. But it hurts Lucas. It's a fresh wound." Riley says getting up to go closer to him

"I understand. But I don't want to see you upset."

"It's to late for that Lucas. It's a little too late." Riley says walking back home leaving Lucas standing there as the tears come streaming down her face.

"So, I heard you broke up with Gabe?" Josh says opening the door to his apartment

"Yea, I did. He put Farkle in a hospital and did some other things. He's just bad news all together." I say sitting on a kitchen stool.

"Oh that's really bad. Would you like something to eat or drink?" Josh says taking off his jacket

"Water would be nice. Thank you." I say smiling

"You can take off your - or whoever jacket that is." He says awkwardly

"Oh." I say looking down at the jacket. "It's Farkle's. We went to Starbucks."

"Oh. So your seeing Farkle?"

"Yea. Like in school and stuff." I say the he laughs. "Oh you meant like dating him? Oh no. Me and Farkle are just, really close friends." I say
