"Farkle?"

"What's happening?" I say as I look up at Lucas who is still cradling me. I miss when he used to hold me like this, in the middle of the night.

"We don't know yet Maya, but we're about to find out."

Farkle says nothing, just stares down at his shoes.

"Huckleberry, can you please let me down?"

"Sure short stack." He says as he puts me down

"Farkle, we will talk about this later." I say and give him the eye

"Smackle." I touch her gently and she shakes awake. "Huckleberry and Riley are going to take you home." I say as I look at Huckleberry and he nods gently.

"Well, I'm going to find Zay so I can go home." I say as I start to walk out and grabbed Huckleberry's hand pulling him along. "Huckleberry." I say firmly

"Yes Maya?" He says almost sounding scared

"Thank you. For everything. I really appreciate it. I appreciate you." I say and poke his chest

"Oww." He says pretending it hurt

"Shut up Ranger. But seriously, thank you. Your a good guy. You and Riley are really good together. Your both good." We pull each other into an embrace.

"I like good. But sometimes I need some rebellion in my life." He says and lightly touches my nose. I watch him as he walks off, and I just know there's a smug smile curling on his lips.

"I saw you and Lucas talking in the hall way." Zay says as he parks in from of my apartment building.

"It was nothing big I thanked him. Simple as that. Apparently when your friends you have to be polite to the other person." I say, roll my eyes and shut the door

"I don't think that hug was nothing." Zay said "It looked like something that both of you guys missed. Something seemingly looking overdue. And the way you looked at him carrying you. The way he defended you? You can't say there's absolutely no chemistry there."

"Yea, cause all I need is a big 'ole Huckleberry hug and feel so much better about every single thing going wrong in my life."I say sarcastically as we stand in the elevator

"You said it sarcastically, but know it wasn't sarcasm. You really meant that Maya. I know it. You know it." Zay says as we get out the elevator

"What are you trying to say?" I say and get in his face,trying to do my best to intimidate him.

"That you like Lucas."

(I know you all might be a bit confused about the whole house thing, and the sixth chapter were Zay is out in the rain,but she lives in an apartment, yea. Just go with it. I'm so sorry about that by the way.)

I sit, lying awake. Wondering what could've possibly given Zay the idea that I liked Lucas. I mean, come on. I endlessly make fun of him and give him stupid ass nicknames that get on his nerves. But lately he seems to be okay with it. I guess he just got tired of "correcting" me.

I here a knock on the door and Zay's voice through the door. "Are you naked or should I wait?" I scoff and I open the door

"I was just kidding by the way. Lucas would kill me if he ever heard me say that."

"Why are we talking about The Ranger again? I really liked it better when everyone thought I hated him." I say at sit on my bed once more

"So, does this mean you have a crush on him?" Zay says as a smile spreads across his face

"I'll tell you how I really truly feel about Huckleberry if you tell me how you really got the cut." I say looking him dead in his eyes.

As the smirk drops from his face, he sits next to me and takes my hand. "You have to promise one thing."

"Okay." I say shakily

"You can't tell Lucas"

(Narrator POV ~ Third Person)

"What are we going to tell them." Farkle says pacing back and forth in the science class room

"We certainly can't tell them the truth." Smackle says

"What about Maya? She already knows about some of the work I have been doing. I mean for God's sake she's freaking' lived through half the shit science has done to her." Farkle says

"I don't think we should."

"But she's my bad girl.' I say and pout a little. "I don't want to lie to her Isadora. If we tell her what I've been up to she'll be nothing short of proud I promise." I say as I touch her shoulders

"Fine. Tell her if you deem it necessary. I have to go. Riley and Lucas are going to wonder we are doing in hear so long. And I'm pretty sure Lucas already told her about how we are probably doing drugs."

"Bye Isadora."

"Bye, Farkle."

"By the next chapter Baby is going to start releasing chapters in batches. The downside is chapters will be shorter. So your not going to see as much of my beautiful face or hear my beautiful voice mesmerizing your ear lobes." Zay says

"Zay is so self centered. I'm clearly the main character so." Maya says

"Actually babyblinker is changing the main character to me. Right Baby?" Lucas says then smiles the MOST BEAUTIFUL SMILES EVER.

"Hmmm. I might consider." I say

"Baby!" Maya says

I glare at her then say,"Anyway, I am so happy that I found a way to get you to read these author's notes."

"You just had to make them interesting." Riley says

"Leave me alone Riley." I say

"Do you guys like when I make author's note like this? Please tell me so I can continue doing it." I say
