Ch 10

Melanie's Point Of View



Alex and I were waiting for Jackie to come back with our drinks when I decided I didn't feel like waiting. "Hey Alex how about we go help Jackie with the drinks." Alex gave me a knowing smile "Do you really want to help get the drinks or do you want to make sure nobody hits on her?" I blushed. Last month at Emma's birthday party Jess convinced me to tell the girls I liked Jackie. They were all happy and told me to go for it, that Jackie was not going to keep her whole being single for 2 years thing. Since that night Emma stopped being flirtatious and touchy with Jackie and I was really happy. Emma suggested that I should drop hints that I like her and flirt with her. "Umm it's a bit of both, but mainly I want to keep an eye on my girl." Jackie wasn't even my girl yet but it felt so natural to say. Alex linked her arm with mine "Lets go help out your girl." we made our way to the kitchen and stopped dead in our tracks. I turned to Alex and gave her a why did we stop look.



Alex pointed to were she was looking. I turned and saw a beautiful brunette giving Jackie a flirtatious smile. I couldn't help but get jealous. Alex turned to me "Come on let's go help Jackie get rid of her crazy ex." I couldn't help but focus on the word ex. We made our way to Jackie just as her ex was asking her if she was dating anybody. Before Jackie answered the girls question I wrapped my arms around Jackie's waist from behind and rested my head on her shoulders. Jackie tensed up but as soon as she heard my voice loosened up. "Baby whats taking you long on getting our drinks?" Alex smirked at me, hey she said we needed to help Jackie get away form her ex. Jackie turned around gave me a thankful look and wrapped her arm around my waist. "Oh sorry babe it's just that when I was getting the drinks for you and Alex Erica here decided to say hi." I turned to Erica and she was shooting daggers at me. I smiled and extended my hand at her "Hello my name is Melanie, Jackie's girlfriend." I decided to emphasize the word girlfriend.




Jackie's ex continued to shoot daggers at me before shaking my hand and began to smirk. "Hey I'm Jackie's ex and 1st girlfriend Erica." I don't know if she was trying to get a rise out of me but I just giggled and looked to Alex "Awe isn't this funny Alex we have Jackie's 1st girlfriend and her current and last girlfriend inthe same room." Alex smiled "Yeah it really is funny." I turned to Jackie and locked my eyes with hers "Baby don't you think this is funny?" Jackie smiled "No babe I don't think it's funny I think it's hilarious." I just wanted to pull Jackie's face and kiss her but I refrained form doing so. We turned to face Erica and her face was red with anger "Are you sure your her last? Her boyfriend she brought the last time thought the same and now she has you around her arm. I don't think you will be her last." I was going to respond but Jackie beat me to it "Your right Erica Brian did think the same, but do you want to know the difference between him and her? The difference is that I thought I truly was in love with him, and with her I know I'm in lover with her. She is my soul mate." when she said that her arm wrapped harder around my waist.



"Now if you don't mind Erica my girlfriend and I came to have fun." with that Jackie let go of my waist, grabbed my hand and we left the kitchen. I couldn't help turn and smile at Erica and saw how pissed she was. When we were completely out of the kitchen Alex started laughing "That was funny, I'm gona go tell Maddie and Emma what happened and leave you to love birds alone." with that she was off and left Jackie and I alone. I turned to Jackie "I'm sorry it's just that Alex said we needed to help you get away from your ex and that's the only thing that came to mind." Jackie smiled at me "Don't worry about it, but you do know that for the rest of the night you have to act like my girlfriend, and that might involve me holding your hand, hugging you the occasional ass grab and kiss." I couldn't help but smile at the last two "I think I could handle it." and I gave her hand a reassuring squeeze.



Jackie giggled "Well I'm happy my girlfriend dressed super hot for me then." I giggled if only she knew "What are you trying to say that I don't look good any other time?" I raised my brow at her. She go a serious look on her face "No I didn't mean it that way, you always look hot it's just that today you turned it up a notch." I smile at how nervous she looked. I gave her a kiss on the cheek and boy did I feel an electric shock then whispered in her ear "I was just messing around with you, but it's nice to know you think I'm hot." I don't know what it is about Jackie that brings out my seductive and flirtatious side out. I'm normally more reserved and shy. With that we began to mingle and she introduced my as her girlfriend to her friends.



I felt like dancing so I turned to her while she was talking to a friend "I'm sorry to interrupt but baby I feel like dancing do you mind." I smiled at her and she returned it with a smile of her own. She turned to her friend "I'm sorry but I gotta keep my girl happy." her friend gave her a smile "I completely understand no worries we will catch up later." And with that we made our way to the dance floor. We were dancing for a good 15 min before we made our way to the girls. Every now and then while we were dancing I saw Erica giving me dirty looks and I couldn't help but smile. When we got to the girls the all had a huge smile on their faces. Emma walked over to me and gave me a hug "I didn't know you had it in you." I smiled at her "Neither did I." Emma pulled me down to her level and whispered in my ear "I suggest you tell her how you feel. Who knows she might feel the same way." when she pulled away I realized that Jackie and I were still holding hands and boy did our hands fit perfect with each other.



Emma turned to the girls "I don't know about any of you but I'm gona go get a drink, Jackie would you mind accompanying me get some drinks." Jackie looked at me "Do you want anything to drink?" I know I didn't want to get drunk or anything incase this is the last time Jackie and I are like this. I want to remember every bit of it. "Sure I'll take a water." Jackie then looked to Alex and Maddie "How about you guys?" Alex responded "I'll take any mixed drink." then Maddie smiled "I'll take the same." Jackie gave me a kiss on the cheek "I will be right back." that made me feel happy even though I know it was just to keep appearance. Emma linked her arm with Jackie and surprisingly I didn't get jealous I was actually happy that Erica probably won't get near Jackie with Emma there. Besides it looks like Emma was telling her something. Next thing I know I hear a squeal I turn and see Maddie jumping up and down.



"So Melanie how dose it feel to have Jackie hold and kiss you?" I smiled at the comment "Perfect actually, it's like this is how we are supposed to be the whole time." Alex then put her two sense "That's probably because you are." Maddie shook her head "I agree and let me be the first to say that you guys make a hot couple and I hope you guys end up together after this." I couldn't help but hope for the same. Alex smiled "I totally agree with Maddie." After that Emma and Jackie were back, after Emma handed Maddie her drink and Jackie gave Alex hers she wrapped her arm around my waist and handed me my water. I took my water and kissed her cheek "Thanks for the water." she gave me a smile "No problem." After that we all just talked about random things. A while later Jackie whispered in my ear "Wanna go outside to get fresh air and talk just you and I?" I smiled and shook my head yes. With that we excused our selfs and she led my by the hand to the back yard.



There was a few people in the back yard but it wasn't crowded or noisy like inside. Jackie led us to the most secluded area in the back yard and we sat down on some lawn chairs. Jackie looked nervous and was beginning fiddle with her hand before she spoke. "Thanks for helping me out with Erica." I grabbed her and she looked to me "You really don't have to thank me I wanted to do it." she looked at me with her beautiful dark green eyes. "I don't really know how to say this so I'm just gona put it out there. Melanie I like you. I have had feelings for you since when I first laid eyes on you." I was shocked, not about her liking me I was happy about that, but at the fact that I felt the same way. I smiled at her "Well if we are being completely honest here I have felt the same. Granted I took me some time to admit it to myself but I completely feel the same about you." Jackie let out a sigh if relief.



"I'm glad I listened to Em's advice and told you how I felt." mentally I was thanking Emma. "Why didn't you tell me sooner?" she let out a giggle "Gee I don't know it probably had to do with the fact that you were straight." I giggled "I love the fact that you said were because its true. I thought I was until I met you, then I realized I was Bi." she blushed a bit "Well I'm glad I was able to help." I couldn't take it anymore I grabbed her by the neck and kissed her. I felt a jolt of electricity run through my body and a bunch of butterflies fluttering in my stomach. Her lips were soft and moved perfectly in sync with mine. After a minuet she pulled away and rested her forehead on mine. "I don't want to jump into anything here." when she said that I pulled away and was hurt. She giggled and grabbed my face with both her hands. "I don't mean it like that. What I'm trying to say is I don't want to label this, us anything until we have a proper date back home."



As soon as those words left her mouth I was happy because there is going to be an us. "So you want to take me out on a proper date?" she smiled "That's exactly what I'm saying. Until then I don't want to show any affection in front of the girls until we are official. Tonight is fine because they think we are acting, but other than that nothing." I completely know were she is coming from, she doesn't want them to think we are together before officially being together. I smiled at her "I completely understand but can I ask you a favor?" she looked at me curiously "Sure what is it?" I blushed a bit "Can I have one last kiss until our date?" she smiled at me then pulled me to her and our lips touched. The moment felt so perfect, at that instant I knew what we had going on was special. We pulled apart when we heard someone clear their throat, we turn to look and see who it was and to our surprise it was Erica. Dam this girl could ruin a moment.



She looked at Jackie "So since when do you like red headed white girls?" When she said that I was gona get up and slap the shit out of her but Jackie held me down. She looked at Erica "Umm I don't know maybe when I realized Hispanics are to obsessed and clingy. Oh no wait that's just you." I wanted to laugh at Jackie's comment and Erica's face expression but I didn't I held it in. "I don't know if you noticed when we were dating but I had the biggest crush on the lead singer of Paramore and she's a white red head." well that's something new I learned, I wonder if she still has a crush on her. Erica narrowed her eyes "Really they are plain and curve less." she pointed at me "She barley has any boobs or ass and she's not even pretty." I gotta admit that was a low blow. Jackie smiled "Well sorry to break it to you but Melanie has a nice size of boobs, her ass suits her body perfectly, and she has enough to keep me satisfied. Your right Melanie is not pretty." wow thanks Jackie I thought you were sticking up for me. Erica smirked at me "She is the hottest girl I have ever seen."



Ok now that made me fell a lot better. Jackie got up and pulled me up along with her. "Melanie is not a red head she's a blond." with that we started walking away but then Jackie stopped and turned to Erica "Oh and by the way I have a weakness for colored eyes something you don't have." I couldn't help but smirk at Erica, and with that we made our way back inside the house holding hands. We found the girls and made our way to them. Jackie looked at them "Are you guys ready to go? I know I'm sure as ready to go." they all shook their heads yes. They all said goodbye to their friends and we left. Maddie sat up front because she was being dropped off first. I sat in the middle of Alex and Emma in the back. When we were driving to Maddie's, Emma leaned and whispered in my ear "So what did you guys talk about outside at the party?" I sure as hell wasn't going to tell her because Jackie didn't want then to know.



I whispered back into her ear "Nothing just about music then her crazy ex Erica went to bug." she didn't even get to ask anything else because we had arrived at Maddie's house, and she needed to get out and move to the front. The ride to Emma's was quiet we just had music as background noise. When we got to Emma's I got down to move up front. When I did Emma pulled me into a hug "Are you sure that's it?" I giggled "Yes that's it now go inside cuz I'm tired and I want to go to bed." with that she said her goodbyes and went inside her house. On the way back to the house I noticed Alex was dosing off. The ride home was silent, but not the awkward silence it was the conferrable kind. When Jackie parked her baby in the garage we woke Alex up and made our way inside the house. When we reached the top of the stairs Alex turned to us "Well I'm going to bed I will see you guys in the morning." And with that she went into her room. Jackie grabbed my hand and lead me to my room. She stopped at the door and turned to me "Well goodnight I'll see you in the morning." I looked at her and smiled "Yeah I'll see you in the morning goodnight." I began to open my room door and before I went inside Jackie pulled me to her and gave me a kiss. She pulled away and rested her forehead on mine. "Sweet dreams." with that she kissed my forehead and went in her room. I couldn't help but go to sleep with a huge smile in my face and dreamt about her.



The next morning I woke up with a smile on my face thinking about last night. I got up and went to the restroom to freshen up. I heard footsteps outside so I figured someone was awake already, and I was hoping it was Jackie. When I opened my door I was a little disappointed when I saw it was Alex. I tried not to show my disappointment and smiled at her. "Good Morning Alex." she had a smile on her face "Good morning to you as well, did you have fun last night?" My smile grew wider and answered nonchalantly "Yeah it was fun." She raised her brow and smirked "I'm sure it was fun." I couldn't help but blush a bit. We started heading down the stairs and when we reached the bottom of the stairs a delicious aroma hit my nose. We went into the kitchen to follow the sent and there was the girl I wanted to see. She was wearing a purple tank top, booty shorts, and her hair up in a high ponytail. She was making Belgian waffles and cutting up some fresh strawberries. I wondered at what time she got up.



She turned to us and when our eyes locked she smiled "Good Morning ladies, I hope you guys are in the mood for waffles." I smiled and shook my head yes. Alex raised her brow at Jackie "Waffles sound good, but what are you doing up early? You normally like to sleep in until someone wakes you up." Jackie shrugged her shoulders "I don't know I woke up around the time mom and dad were leaving for church, so I decided to get up an make breakfast. I didn't have all the ingredients so I had to go to the store" Alex looked at Jackie still with a raised brow "So shouldn't mom and dad be back from church?" I looked at the time and was surprised to see it was barley 9am. "No they were going to the swap meet after, and knowing them they are barley leaving church." Alex shook her head in agreement "Yup they sure do like to stay and chat with their friends from church." With that Jackie made us our own plate and we sat at the table.



I took a bite out of the waffle and it was like I had a food organism in my mouth. I wonder how Jackie learned how to cook so good, then again her mom cooks good as well. She looked at me for approval "How us it." I swallowed the piece I was chewing. "Its really good especially the strawberry sauce." I wonder where she bought it "That's good to know I wasn't sure if the sauce was going to be to sweet." I looked at her in bewilderment "You made the sauce as well?" Alex and Jackie giggled "Yeah" then Alex confirmed "Jackie tends to be a food wizard, in the kitchen just like my grandma." From then on the conversation turned into what happened last night. Alex kept dropping questions if anything happened between us when we were alone. We told her the same answering gave Emma we were talking about nothing in particular when Erica showed up.



After a while their parents got home and told them that their siblings, cousins, and uncles were coming over for a pool party. It's a good thing Alex told me to bring a bikini, just incase we wanted to lounge by the pool. I was just finishing putting on a loose t-shirt and jean short shorts over my two pice yellow bikini when there was a knock on my door. "Come in." As I turned around to see Jackie, my mouth dropped open. Jackie stood at the door wearing only the top to her black Roxy bikini top, exposing her well toned stomach, and booty shorts with flip flops. Jackie giggled closed the door and walked over to me. She grabbed my jaw with her right hand and closed my mouth. "You don't need to drool I know I'm hot." I rolled my eyes "Can I help you with something?" she moved her hand to caress my cheek "Yes actually, I was wondering if I could have a morning kiss. I know it's already noon but seeing as how I couldn't give it to you because Alex was there I could have it right now."



I smirked at her "I thought you wanted to hold out on kissing until we went out on a date." she kept caressing my face and looking down at me "I know what I said but your kisses are just so addicting. Besides this will be the last one because when we get home the girls are going to be around so we won't have a chance to kiss until our date." it sucks that she had a point. If this was our last kiss until our date and who knows when our date is gona be I better take advantage and make it hold me up until the date. I smiled up at her, wrapped my arms around her neck, pulled her down to my level and crashed my lips on hers. Our lips moved beautifully in sync, it was slow and sensual. Neither of us tried to deepen the kiss which made it even better because like that I look forward to know what her tongue taste like. We pulled away after about three minutes, she looked into my eyes "I think we should head down people are starting to arrive and Alex sent me to come get you. I honestly don't feel like explaining why it took me 5 min to get you." I smile and gave her a quick peck on the lips "Fine lets go." I put on sandals and we went out to the pool.



I had no idea that there was going to be a lot of people, there was a good 60 people tops. I also didn't know that Emma and Maddie along with their family's were going to be here. I was introduced to Emma and Maddie's parents, along with Jackie's relatives. I met her older sister Raquel and her husband. She had some similar features to Jackie, Alex and her brother, they all had big eyes. Jackie was the only one with colored eyes among the four siblings. Raquel had the same dark brown hair like Alex and Jackie, same skin tone, and she appeared to be the shortest. Their brother looks more hispanic and is the tallest at 6"2, fallowed by Jackie at 5"8, Alex 5"6 , and Raquel at 5"5. Raquel is a inch taller and we are the same age. I found it nice that it was easy to get along with Jackie's siblings and parents, it makes me feel like I have known them longer. I wonder if this is a sign that Jackie and I are truly meant to be.



After a while we decided to go in the pool, when Jackie took off her shorts I couldn't help but take a quick glance at her ass. I pulled off the t-shirt and I notices Jackie staring so I decided to mess with her. I began to unbutton my shorts, and slowly slide them down in a seductive manner. I walked slowly past Jackie to the pool and smirked at her "Close your mouth, your drooling" with that I jumped in. Soon the girls joined me in the pool. We were having fun playing around, and Jackie playing with her two year old nephew that seems to be infatuated with her. Out of know where one of Jackie's cousins was standing with our group. He gave me a flirtatious smile "Hello I don't think we have been properly introduced I'm Daniel and you are." I looked at the girls and they had an annoyed expression on their face. "Melanie" I just gave him a simple respond hoping he would get the hint that I wasn't interested.



"Well Melanie it's a pleasure meeting you, are you currently seeing anybody?" next thing I know Jackie is right beside me with her nephew in hands shooting daggers at her cousin. "Daniel don't waste your time the girl is not interested, otherwise she would have given you more than a one word response." he glared back at Jackie "Well I was talking to her not you." Jackie chuckled "Well I'm helping her out, she's taken so back off." He looked pissed but left. The girls all looked at Jackie with raised brows. Jackie looked at them with an innocent expression "Why are you guys looking at me like that? Its true Melanie is not interested right?" she looked at me "It's true and you girls know that." After that we spent a couple more hours in the pool before we got out to get ready to leave. Maddie's parents dropped us off at the airport. When we got back to San Fran we took a cab back home, I was dropped off first then the girls. When I was dropped off I felt like giving Jackie a kiss but I knew I couldn't.



I was getting ready for bed when I heard my phones tone go off telling me I had a text. I looked to see who it was and a smile grew on my face, it was Jackie.

Jackie: Hey beautiful I was wondering if you were busy Friday?


Me: Well I'm working but after that I'm free.


Jackie: At what time are you gona get off work?


Me: Umm around 4pm why?


Jackie: Do you think you could possibly get out 15 min earlier? and it's for our date.


Me: :D fine I will try. What are we doing anyway?


Jackie: Try I'm not telling you what we are doing. Just don't drive to work I'll pick you up.


Me: Fine


Jackie: I'll see you later goodnight and sweet dreams


Me: Goodnight sweet dreams


After that I went to bed anxiously waiting to see Jackie again.







Friday Date Night




The week went by super slow and I didn't see Jackie at all during the week. We would text during the week but that wasn't enough. Last night she told me to pack a bag with a bikini,towel, and a hoodie. I got out 15 min early just like Jackie asked. When I walked out to the parking lot Jackie was outside sitting on the hood of her car waiting. As soon as she saw me she came to me and grabbed the small duffle bag I had my things in and gave me a kiss on the cheek. "Hey Mel, you look gorgeous like always." I smiled at her "You don't look have bad yourself." She faked hurt but grabbed my hand and led me to her car "Come on let's go, we need to be at the first location of our date by 4:10." I raised a brow "What are we doing?" she chuckled "Its a surprise just wait and see." With that she opened the car door for me an we were off. The whole ride to the location Jackie was holding my hand while she drove.



I noticed that we were on our way to Pier 80 we got there 15 min before 4:10. She parked the car and when we got there I looked around and saw Oracle Team USA. I was shocked I turned to Jackie and she had a smile on her face "I know a few people." When we got there they directed us to changing rooms and handed us wetsuits to put on over our bikinis. They gave us safety instructions and with that we were off on the boat. It was fun we went all around the bay, so far this was one of the best dates I have ever been on. By six o clock we were back in the changing rooms, getting ready for the next part. We walk back to the car hand in hand, and she opens the door for me again.



She holds my hand while she's driving and speaks "Did you have fun." I smiled "Yeah it's different than other dates and I like it." she giggled "Well don't worry the next part of the date is more normal." was so lost looking at her that I didn't realize we had stopped until she was getting out of the car. It was already chilly so I put on my hoodie. She opened my door and held my hand. She opened the trunk of her car and pulled out a picnic basket along with a blanket. We walked down to the beach hand in hand and I realized we were at Baker Beach. When we reached were she wanted to sit she put down the blanket and when she did I realized she had an extra one.



She opens the huge picnic basket and took out her camera and set it to the side. Then she took out napkins and plates along with a container and tortia chips. "I know this probably isn't the best food but I made shrimp ceviche. Have you had it before?" I giggled at the question "Yeah I have." she gave me a smile "Good I didn't make the fish one because I like the shrimp one better and you don't like fish." I can't believe she remembered most people tend to forget. We ate the ceviche and boy was it good. After that we took pictures of each other, together, and the view. We watched the sunset and it looked so beautiful and it was amazing watching it here with her.



Jackie looked through the basket and took out anther container, and opened it to reveal chocolate covered strawberries. "I figured this would be an easy dessert to eat." I looked at her in awe "It's a perfect dessert." even with the hoodie I was still chilly so she got the extra blanket and wrapped it around my shoulders. I looked at her and I saw she had on a thin hoodie. "Aren't you cold?" she smiled at me and shook her head "I might be from SoCal and used to warm weather but I love the cold." We fed each other the strawberries and looked out to the ocean. It was getting late so Jackie started packing, then made our way to her car. She leaned me against the her car and held my face with both her hands and looked me in the eyes "Mel I want to ask you something. Will you do me the honor in being my girlfriend for real and not pretend?" I giggle and shook my head yes. I couldn't find my voice, she crashes her lips on me and we kiss for a good minute before she nibbles on my bottom lip asking for entrance and I easily granted it.



I don't try and fight for dominance I let her. Both our mouths takes like the chocolate covered strawberries we had just ate. I was lost in bliss but unfortunately it came to an end. She drove me home in a comfortable silence holding each others hands, and I was rubbing circles on her hand with my thumb. When we got to my apartment she walked me to my door "I really hope you had a good time." I looked intensely into her eyes "This was the best date I have ever had." she giggled "I'm glad, so I'll see you after work on Sunday?" I looked at her curiously "Why Sunday and not tomorrow?" she chuckled "Um maybe because for the past month you have been going to Santa Cruz to help Jess plan her wedding." shit I forgot and gave her a pout "Fine even though it would be nice to see you." she looked like she was thinking "What if you go a little early so you could come back earlier, then come by the house and hang out." that was actually a good idea "That sounds great I'll see you tomorrow." She gave me a goodnight kiss and left. This was the best date and now I could say she was my girl. I'm so happy I went down to SoCal with them otherwise this wouldn't have happened. Thank you Erica for being a crazy ex. I went to sleep replaying the perfect date in my head.
