Ch 7

We were all in the kitchen talking when Maddie came up with an idea. "Hey guys I was thinking what if we continue a today with a girls movie night. We could have a chick flick marathon what do you guys think?" I felt like being lazy so I was down, I faced Maddie "I'm down." I turned to look at Emma she shook her head "I'm up for it." it was Alex's turn "Same here." All of us turned to Melanie to wait for her answer. "Umm I'm not sure I don't want to impose." Maddie chuckled "How are you going to impose your in our little group now." Melanie looked at all of us for confirmation and we all shook our heads yes.



"I'm want to head home to take a shower and change." Maddie gave her a pout "Dude you could just take a shower here and I'm pretty sure one of the girls would lend you some clothes. Please." I didn't want Melanie to go so I thought that I would help Maddie convince Melanie. "Yeah Melanie you could just shower here, and I would be more than happy to lend you clothes again." I wanted to give her a taste of her own medicine from this morning, so I gave her my best puppy dog face. I saw that Alex and Emma were arching a brow at me while Maddie gave me a knowing smile.



I saw a smile spread on Melanie's face "Fine I will stay." I decided to mess with her a lil bit "Well I'm gona go jump in the shower, Melanie do you want to shower now or later?" I gave her a flirtatious smile and she started to blush. I couldn't help but laugh at her adorable blushing self. "I'm saying so that I could get you clothes right now or not." I smiled at her and she returned it with her sexy smile that makes my heart speed up a bit. "Um sure I'll jump in the shower right now so we could start the marathon."



We both go up and headed out the kitchen and up to my room. As I was entering my room Melanie gave me a playful push "That was so not fair using the puppy dog face, and then purposefully make me blush." I chuckled "I smiled at her "But it was fun to use it on me earlier?" she let out her sexy giggle "Touché". I pointed to my closet "You could pick out anything you want that fits, and in my second drawer on my dresser I have brand new never worn panties and bras." By what I could see Melanie and I possibly have the same size boobs or hers are a tab bit bigger. I grabbed my old practice shirt and some Capri sweats. I just took out random panties and bra. As I'm placing my stuff out on my bed I see Melanie still looking through my closet.



She turns to me "What are you gona wear?" I pointed to the clothes laying on my bed. "Just some lazy day conferrable clothes. Some sweats and a t-shirt." Melanie looked thoughtful for a second "Is that what you guys normally wear when your watching movies?" I shrugged my shoulders "Most of the time we do other times the girls want to watch movies then go out for dinner so we wear jeans or whatever. But trust me we are not going out tonight if I have any say in it. I feel like being lazy." she smiled at me "Ok I will take your word for it and I will barrow a t-shirt and sweats if you don't mind." I chuckled.



"I don't mind at all. You could either grab some sandals, socks, slippers, or sneakers your choice. You could find the socks in the third drawer, and the rest of the choices are in the closet on the shoe rack. There should be clean towels in the restroom. While you find what you need I'm gona go ahead and jump in the shower." she gave me a shy smile "Ok thanks." with that I went into my restroom and closed the door. I made sure my dock with my iPod was on and pressed shuffle Kiss Me by Sixpence None The Richer started to play. It brought a smile to my face, it has been a while since I have listened to that song.



I didn't take that long in the shower. I changed, put my hair up in a pony tail, and decided not to wear any shoes whats so ever. When I walked into the living room Alex and Emma were talking. "What are you guys talking about?" They both looked at each other then back to me, Alex arched her brow "What was it with the whole puppy dog face you gave to Melanie and then I'm gona go shower now Melanie do you want to shower now or later? accompanied by a flirtatious smile." I couldn't help but laugh "It was nothing you guys are reading too much into my actions." Emma smirked at me "Hmm so your actions have nothing to do with you having a crush on her?" Before I answered I heard someone coming down the stairs, then Melanie came walking into the living room. I really liked how she looked in my clothes.



Emma turned to Melanie "Have a nice shower?" Melanie smiled and shook her head "An awesome shower I feel so refreshed." as she answered the question she went to sit next to Alex. Alex spoke "So I'm going to assume that we are staying in tonight and not going out to eat?" I smiled at her "Well that is what it looks like. I feel to lazy to go out even for food. That's why there is take out duh." Alex glared at me "Haha funny smart ass by the way mom and dad called while you were in the shower they said they are going to fly back September 1st so they expect us to drive down on the 6th and when you have a chance to call." I rolled my eyes "Why do I have to call when they already talked to you?" Alex smiled "Well its mainly mom that wants to talk to you. Basically to see how you are doing...to check and see if you have a love interest." I rolled my eyes again "Really nobody has any faith in me or something?"



Emma hugged me "Its not that Jackie it's more like you are a relationship person. But look at you, you are two weeks away from completing two months." I smiled at her then changed the subject "So where is Maddie?" Next thing I know Maddie was walking into the living room. "I was making some popcorn and getting the junk food." She set everything on the coffee table then walked to the tv. "I was thinking maybe we could watch Clueless, Bring It On, She's All That, 10 Things I Hate About You, Mean Girls, and to close out the movie Marathon The Notebook." we all shook our heads in approval.



Maddie put the first movie in and we began to watch the movies. By the time She's All That was over We were all hungry and decided to order some Chinese. I found it sexy that Melanie was using chop sticks because I couldn't use them and she was the only one in the room using them. I didn't pay attention to the next two movies, thinking and glancing at Melanie. Then I felt Emma cuddle into me and I notice Maddie putting in The Notebook. While the movie was playing I couldn't help but wish that it was Melanie cuddling into my side. Between watery eyes I glance at Melanie and noticed she had tears running down her eyes and I couldn't help but wonder how beautiful and hot she looked. Then I realized in the eyes of the girls Melanie was now part of our little group and I will most likely see more of her.



Melanie spent the night again and borrowed clothes to sleep in again. The next morning I decided to take a morning run. The city looked so beautiful with the morning fog. I ran a bit more than I was originally planning on. By the time I got back home I was covered in sweat. When I went into the kitchen I was surprised that everyone was awake and eating. "Good Morning" they all responded me in unison. I looked at the stove and noticed that it was Chilaquiles (Traditional Mexican dish. Tortilla chips in a red sauce simmered until soft). I looked to Alex "I'm assuming that you made breakfast?" She shook her head "Yeah I highly doubt that Emma or Maddie would know how to make it."



Maddie laughed "Alex has a point there, Although I tried to learn last time we went to Mexico with you guys I don't think I could make them. Especially like your grandma." Alex and I laughed, I looked at Maddie "As much as my mom or any of us fallow my grandmas recipe it will never come out as good as her cooking." Alex then adds " Jackie has a point." I took out a pan and made myself a scrambled egg to go with my chilaquiles. When I sat down Emma scrunched up her face "You are all sweaty." I smiled at her "Well I hope so I went running." Just to mess with her I gave her a hug. She pushed me away and I couldn't help but laugh.



I smiled to Melanie "So what do you think of breakfast?" She returned the smile "Its good I've never had it before." before I was going to speak her phone started to ring. She looked to us and gave us an apologetic look "Sorry but I have to take this." she unlocked her phone and answered "Hey Jess what's up." she has a smile on her face as the person on the phone speaks to her "At what time?" I can't help but just pay attention to Melanie. "Yeah I could meet you there in let's say... two hours." When I heard her say that I felt sad knowing that she was going to leave soon. "Ok it's a date see you in a bit." When she hung up the phone she looked at us "Sorry guys but I have to go to Santa Cruz." Alex looked at her "No problem." She got up with her plate and was about to wash it when Alex stopped her. "Don't worry about your plate I'll wash it." Melanie smiled at Alex "Thanks"



With that I got. up "Do you want to barrow clothes?" She looked at me and smiled "Um sure if its not to much of a bother." I shook my head "Its no bother at all." With that I left my plate on the table and we headed to my room. When we went into my room I pointed to my closet "Choose anything you want." She gave me a hug and I wanted it to last a bit longer, I felt butterflies in my stomach but she pulled away. "Thanks Jackie for being so nice, I don't think I would have made it to Santa Cruz in 2hrs if I would have gone home to change." I looked her in the eyes. God she had the most beautiful blue eyes I have ever seen "It's really no problem." I scratched the back of my neck "I hope I'm not being to nosy but whats in Santa Cruz?"



Melanie gave me a curious smile "My friend that I haven't seen in like three weeks, so we are planing on catching up." I made an O shape with my mouth "Oh well like I said pick out whatever you want, I'll leave you to it." I turned on my heal to leave when she spoke again "Thanks again and I'll bring your clothes back tomorrow." I smiled at her "Don't worry about it." I headed down the stairs wondering who this Jess person was that she was going to meet. Then I remembered Alex had said that she had broken up with her boyfriend a few weeks ago. Could this Jess person be her ex. I couldn't help but feel jealous at the thought of her meeting her ex.
