Something I wasn't Looking For (GXG)

Ch 3

In the morning I woke up to my alarm going off at 9:30am. Ugh I don't want to get up I got less than 6hrs of sleep and now I have to get up. I should have taken Alex's advice and had someone else cover me today as well. But no I had to chose to work today for the simple fact that I don't drink so I knew I wouldn't be wasted and would be fine to go to work. Also I didn't think that I would be up until 4 in the morning looking at a picture of a beautiful girl like Melanie.


Just the thought of Melanie put a smile on my face. I got up and went straight to my bathroom and did my morning necessities. By the time I got out of the restroom it was already 10:15 and I had an hour and forty-dive min to get ready, eat, and make it to the stadium by noon. I walked to my closet and just grabbed a pair of skinny jeans, a white Nirvana band tee, and decided to opted for my black hi-top converse. I waked over to my dresser pulled out a pair of black lace bra and panties, just because I'm not dressed hot and I like dressing casual doesn't mean that I can't be comfortable and feel sexy at the same time. I chose to do my make up natural but put a good amount of black eyeliner and put my hair up in a high ponytail. Before heading down stairs I grabbed my work camera and grabbed a biker leather jacket to complete my rocker look today.


By the time I went down stairs to the kitchen I was surprised that the girls were up and having breakfast. "Good Morning girls any of you wake up with a hangover?" and shot them a smile in a way hoping that at least Emma and Maddie did for making fun of me yesterday. Emma gave me a knowing smile "Sorry to break it to you Jackie but neither of us drank to the point to wake up with hangovers." Dam I was really hoping they did "Well isn't it a bit early for you guys to be awake you guys normally sleep in." Maddie gave me a confused look "Jackie what time do you think it is?" then it was my turn to have a confused look on my face. I took out my phone and saw it was 11:28 "Shit I have to be at the stadium by 12 I will see you guys after the game." I didn't even get to grab a Nutria Grain to eat on the way I just grabbed my car keys and drove as fast as I could to the stadium.


The game went by fast today the Giants lost 4-3. It's was 3pm by the time I got home. I went straight to the kitchen and grabbed a bottle of water, I didn't even notice that the girls where in the kitchen along with the girl I fell asleep thinking about Melanie. When I saw her I nearly chocked on the water I was drinking. "Hey guys sorry I didn't notice you guys were in here." I looked at them and Maddie spoke "It's ok Jackie since this morning you kinda seemed out of it so you are completely forgiven for not acknowledging we were here." Emma got up from where she was sitting, came to me gave me a side hug looked up to me seeing as how she's 6 inches shorter than me "Do you want me to make you something to eat? Seeing as how you didn't eat anything this morning because you were running late."


That's one of the reasons why Emma was one of my best friends her and I are much closer than Maddie and I but we are all best friends none the less. I returned the side hug "Nah I grabbed something to eat at the stadium but thanks for asking." She pulled me down and gave me a kiss on the cheek, "Well I have to make sure my best girl takes care of herself." As soon as she said that both Alex and Maddie said in unison "HEY!" Emma giggled "Oh come on don't act like you didn't know that she's my favorite. Don't get me wrong I love you guys but I just love Jackie more." I turned to Alex and Maddie glaring at me so I stuck out my tongue at them then bent down and kissed Emma on the cheek "Awe your sweet your my favorite too."


Before anybody gets the wrong idea Emma and I always played around being touchy, to others it looks like we are flirting. We have been asked before by either friends or our ex's if we had a thing for each other. 1st if all Emma is completely straight and we see each other more like sisters. After that we went to sit down at the table with the rest of the girls.


I sat next to Emma and across of Melanie. I look at Melanie and gave her a smile "Hey Melanie sorry for not noticing you where here and not properly greeting you." She gave me a smile "Its ok don't worry about it, we all have our moments when we are either spaced out or in deep thought." "Still it's not bad for one to apologize. So what brings you by?" She turned to Alex then back to me "Well Alex and I are doing final touches on the design for the house we are going to work on." Maddie looked at me as she spoke "You should look at their design it really looks nice." I looked to Alex and Melanie and without having to say anything Alex showed me the design. "Wow guys this looks really nice I'm sure your client is going to really like it." Both Alex and Melanie shared an awe look they both turned to me and at the same time said "Thanks" I couldn't help but smile but kept my eyes on Melanie.


After sitting there for like a minute watching them work I decided to get up. "Well as much as I love sitting here watching you guys work and I mean I love it. I'm gona go to the living room and watch a movie." I looked at Emma and Maddie "You guys are more than welcome to join if you want." Before I left the table Emma got up "Wait for me I wanna watch a movie." Emma extended her arms to me like if she wanted to hug me, but I knew that she wanted to me to give her a piggy back ride. I crouched down so that she could get on my back. She wrapped her legs around my waist and wrapped her arms around my neck. She turned my face to the side and gave me another kiss on my cheek "Thanks Jackie I love getting piggy back rides." I laughed and turned to her "Well consider this your last cause you are getting fat."


She flicked the back of my head "That is so mean." My laughing died down "Awe did I hurt your feelings Em? You know I was just messing around you are not heavy at all your super light." Emma giggled "You are so lucky that I love you and I can't stay mad at you." Before we exited the kitchen Maddie asked "So what movie are you guys going to watch?" I honestly didn't know. I turned to Emma "What do you want to watch?" she was thinking about it "Well I know that you are not going to watch a romance or a comedy romance. How about we watch something we both would want to watch. We could watch Friends With Benefits and Underworld Awakening. That way you have eye candy for both movies."


I laughed because Emma knew that my eye candy was going to be Mila Kunis and Kate Beckensale. If you ask me who is hotter between the two hands down Kate Beckensale. Maddie chuckled "Alright I will make some pop corn don't start the movie without me." I rolled my eyes "You know we won't start the movie without you." I turned to the table were Alex and Melanie were at "You guys are welcome to join when your done with your work." I didn't even stay there long enough for their response I just heard Alex yell from the kitchen "OK"


Once I dropped Emma off on the couch I waked to the entertainment center and took out both of the movie we are watching. I turned on the TV and DVD. I looked to Emma "Em what movie do you want to see 1st?" Emma smiled "Do you really have to ask Friends with Benefits duh." I rolled my eyes and put the movie in the DVD player and went to sit on our 6 seater sectional next to Emma.


"I suggest if you don't want to freak out Melanie you should stop looking at her like you are undressing her." When she said that I thought that my eyes were going to pop out of my eye sockets. "1st of all I am not undressing her with my eyes 2nd of all is it really obvious that I'm attracted to her?" Emma started laughing. Maddie walked in looked at me then to Emma "Whats so funny?" Emma stopped laughing long enough to tell Maddie "Jackie asked if its obvious that she's attracted to Melanie and she claims that she dose not look at her like she's undressing her with her eyes." Maddie joined Emma and started laughing. "Is it really that obvious?" Maddie looked at me sympathetically "Sweetie I think it was obvious since yesterday when you 1st saw her." I couldn't help but blush I had no idea that's how I was looking at her. I need to make sure when I see her to just keep my eyes on one thing and not let my eyes roam.


After they stopped laughing we started the movie. It was half way through the movie when Alex and Melanie entered the living room. I paused the movie and the three of us looked up at them. Alex looked at us "I was thinking of maybe getting take out I don't feel like cooking and I doubt either of you guys want to cook. Also we are done with the project so we thought of joining you guys and watch the movies." The three of us looked at each other then back at Alex. The three of us spoke at the same time "PIZZA!" we broke into a fit of laughter. Alex rolled her eyes "Is Pizza My Heart fine?" The three of us shook our heads yes. "A Supreme and a pepperoni and Canadian beacon?" We smiled and shook our heads yes, we always get the same toppings when we order pizza.


Alex went to order the pizza and Melanie was awkwardly just standing there. I turned to her and made sure I looked her in the eyes so that I wouldn't roam down her body. "You know you could sit down right." Maddie looked to her "Yeah come sit down with us we don't bite. Umm well I take that back maybe these two might but not me." Emma and I both flipped off Maddie. Melanie stared to laugh and sat on the other side of the sectional next to Maddie. Emma turned to Melanie "So Melanie do you like any of these movies?" Melanie smiled at her "Friends with Benefits is alright. But Underworld is one of my favorites. I love that Kate Beckensale is such a bad ass."


Emma and Maddie giggled and Emma spoke "I think that's one of the main reasons why it's one of Jackie's favorite movies. Aside from the outfits right Jackie." I could help but blush at that statement. Then I sent Emma a death glare "That's not the only reason I like the movie. I think it's one of the best if not the best vampire/wear wolf movies of all time." As I finished with my argument as to why I love Underworld Alex came back into the living room and sat between Maddie and Melanie.


"What are you guys talking about?"
Melanie answered Alex's question first. "Your sister was telling us why Underworld is her favorite vampire movie." Alex giggled "So I'm assuming she mentioned that she thinks and I quote "Kate Beckensale looks sooo fucking sexy especially in that leather one piece with the corset over and it's even sexier when she is fighting." Freaking Alex even did the air quotes when she was quoting me. At this point I am sure that my face was redder than a tomato. Melanie giggled looked at me then at Alex "No she left that out." Alex shot her head towards me and arched an eyebrow "Really you didn't mention that? That's always the first argument you use when you tell people why it's the best vampire movie."


Stupid Alex is making me blush even harder. Emma noticed how embarrassed was and changed the subject "Well guys are we going to keep talking or are we going to continue to watch the movie so we could move onto the next." Everyone shook their head in agreeing and with that Emma pressed play. I turned to Emma and mouthed her a thank you. She smiled at me kissed my cheek and whispered in my ear "Anytime" and then cuddled to my side so I put my arm around her and pulled her closer.


The pizza got here at when Friends with Benefits was over. We ate the pizza while watching Underworld Awakening. When we finished eating Emma re-positioned her self and we continued to snuggle. What can I say I love to snuggle while watching a movie so dose Emma. During the movie I couldn't help but feel like someone was looking at me out of the corner of my eye I saw that Melanie would take quick glances at Emma and I. Hmm she probably thinks we are together and isn't to comfortable with gay people. By the time the movie was over it was already 9pm.


We were saying our good byes to Melanie when all of a sudden Maddie had an idea. "We are going clubbing this Friday you should join us Melanie it's gona be fun." Melanie gave her a huge smile and I'm not going to lie she looked sexy as hell especially since she had her long wavy hair, a button up blouse that the last button just above her boobs, tight denim skinny jeans, and boots that almost reach her knee. Dam Jackie stop checking her out. "Umm sure I will think about it and let Alex know." With that she left. As soon as she left Alex turned to me with an arched brow "I'm going to bed guys I will see you tomorrow." I started heading upstarts when Alex spoke "Jackie don't think that because your going to bed you are avoiding talking about yesterday and today." From the top of the stairs I looked down at Alex "Whatever you say mom." I turned and went to my room.
