Erievelatt!!!

With a gesture of a hand, a cave entrance appeared out of nowhere. Ancient inscriptions pattern the cave with a light blue-green valouse. Only Salletians know of that spell. It is used to reveal concealed entrances, objects and the like.

"Commandier, 57 to 0".

"As you were, warrior. What's our post?"

"We've just passed the Xyperhone plains, Commandier. We have about enough time left to reach our rendezvous before umbralwise."

"That is if we don't meet any casualties...."said a teenage boy with dark-orange fiery hair.

"Don't get negative now, Engineer."said the Commandier.

That's right, you heard her. I'm an Engineer. Mind you I'm only sixteen circas old. What can I say, I'm a born genius! I head dwon back to base camp to chillax at my cabin. Yep, when you're THAT important you have a cabin of your own.

"Remind me who is that again, Commandier..."

"His name is Kraeinirr Zolabod. He's the youngest Engineer in this circa. It's said he's the mastermind behind the construction of Bestandehl."

"The most advanced Commune in terns of technology and machinery?!"

"As it is. He's a prodigy. The Dathu practically paid him billions just for him to accept this Operation."

"Kind of a smooth-talker..."

"Everyone has their quirks..."chuckled the Commandier.

The base camp is was set near a spring. Large overgrowths sprawled through the area. Cryptid growls can be heard, sometimes far and at times close. Tents are pitched closely together that in bird's eye view, looked like a dartboard. In the middle situated two cabins, one for the Commandier and one for their guest.

"So, if I insert this cable to this port, it would change its polarity........"

I let my words drift into nothingness. I have to impress Sallet's Dathu. He paid my Coven a hefty amount of qurs just for this machinery. He said he wanted ti gift Farole's Dathu an endearing and amazing present. Honestly, I think that he spent a little too much just for formality. I felt drowsy, almost all the warriors here are now asleep. I would've been too, if it weren't for this thing. During a test run, it imploded and bricked itself. I found out that the wirings and bolts were completely misplaced and out of proportion. Ughh, so much for this being a luxury trip.

I heard someone open the portal of my cabin. I quickly drew Rio and pointed it at the trespasser.

It was Mellyn, the Commandier.

"Can I come in?"

"You just did, honey..."

An awkward silence. I saw her roll her eyes at me. It's better than her stone-face mode.

"Girl like you, you should be sleeping to get you beauty rest."

"Please, I've just come to tell you something."

"Oh yeah?" I said, while still tinkering with the machine.

"Under strict rules that during our visit to the Farolean Commune, Brigandine, you must stay at base camp with bodyguards while our grop conducts the negotiations."

"Say what?!" I snarled. It's my invention, so I should be the one presenting it. And seriously, BODYGUARDS?!

"Rules are rules. The Dathu there doesn't take outsiders easily. Unless you're in good terms with him or a part of one of his comrades' Commune, you'll be subject to hostility."

Well, just my luck. I finally had the time to get out and relax for once, and I STILL have to be incognito. Could the Dathu be JUST more friendly? I want to protest, but if I did, I'll be completely forgetting my rank here. I'm just a guest, hired to create machinery as presents to the Sallet's Dathu's comrades. I decided to play along with it.

"All right, since you put it that way."

She came closer to my workspace, and was surprised to see I already fixed the one for the Farole Dathu, and made four more while we were talking.

"Impressive."

"You could open up a store in two days full of these things if you said so, you know." I smirked.

"Competent as always..."

"Say..." I've been meaning to ask this for a while now."Why does your Dathu want to give Mana-Coders to his Dathu friends? I mean, I'm sure gallons of qur would suffice, or a banquet, or a......"

She stopped me. "Well, most of Amatehrasu's friends are into spiritualism..."

I dismissed the fact he didn't call the Dathu, Dathu. "EH? So there into the whole 'You're mana tells you who you are' sort of thing?"

"You could say that, yes..."

"Okay.....So how many more of these things you want?"

"About 15 more."

"Gotcha."

The things their asking me to make is like a kid's school project. These'll be done in like an hour.

"All right, I'll leave you to it then."

"'Kay, see ya tomorrow."

She went out of the cabin. Something about her is just so mysterious, like she's hiding something. Or maybe I'm just a little paranoid. I shrugged it off and finished my qouta for tonight before hitting the sack.

SIGNUM...

"Mellyn, how did you fare?"

"It went well, sire. He didn't suspect a thing. He said it will be done by about tomorrow lightwise."

"Good, good, I know I could count on you. He should not be informed of this deception, understand?"

"Yes Warloch Amigon. Operation Valkyrie is at full swing."

With that, she closed the spell. She and Amigon knew that their dremas and plans were slowly happening, and with Kraeinirr working for them, it will all be done soon...
