Chapter 39 - Sykes' House

Can I just say how sorry I am that I haven't updated this fanfic for way over a month.

I've been slowly writing the part but i just haven't had time to sit down for a while and put my head down and write.

The reason for this was because I had 15 exams at school and I've recently just moved house and we're still unpacking and we didn't havea  computer or wifi for 2 weeks!

Again I greatly apologise for the lack of updating but here's the next part and I hope you enjoy it :)

The holiday soon ended and it was amazing. Nathan and I explored Paris a bit and we went shopping and he treated me like a Princess. I seriously do love him.

We are now on the way to his house to meet his family....well his mum, Karen and little sister, Jess. I am so so so so nervous. I'm worried that they wont like me and that we wont get on. Nathan says they're going to love me but I don't know. I'm extremely worried.

We were on the train to Gloucester now. I'm shaking from nerves and I've got butterflies in my stomach. "Hol, calm down. Relax. You're going to absolutely fine." Nathan told me.

"But what if they don't like me. What will you do?" I asked him.

"I will tell them, well tough. I love this girl and no one will ever break us up. They'll have to get used to us being together because I don't want to be with anyone else." He told me and kissed my forehead.

"Aw, that's cute but I'm still really worried." I said and snuggled into his chest.

"You'll be perfectly fine. I'm going to be there. Nothing can hrt you. I'll protect you." He told me and then the train stopped a few minutes later at our stop. I took a few deep breaths and picked up my bags and Nathan took my hand in his and led me off the train towards his sister and mother.

"Nathan!" Jess squealed and ran and hugged him. I couldn't help but smile at their relationship. The brother sister bod they have is really big.

"Jess this is Holly, my girlfriend." Nathan introduced me.

"It's lovely to finally meet you. Nathan hasn't stopped talking about you." I smiled and she hugged me.

"It's nice to meet you too." She smiled. We all carried on walking towards his mum.

"Mum, It's so good to see you again!" Nathan said and gave his mum and massive hug.

"It's good to see you too and is this Holly?" She asked and he nodded and I smiled at her. "She's prettier than you make out Nathan." His mum said and I couldn't help but giggle slightly.

"It's lovely to meet you Mrs Sykes." I smiled at her and stuck my hand out for her to shake.

"Call me Karen dear and I don't do hand shakes it's all about hugs in this family." She smiled and gave me a massive hug. "Right then let's get home." She smiled. Nathan took my hand in his and I smiled at him and he smiled back at me. He sqeezed my hand to show he's there and to relax.

"See they like you," He whispered in my ear.

"I guess so." I said and he kissed my cheek and we walked to the car.

We finally arrived at the house and it was really small and cosy. It was like a proper family home. "And this is home," Nathan told me.

"It's beautiful, it's so cosy." I said.

"I know right, let me give you a tour of the house." He smiled and took my hand and showed me around the house. "This is the kitchen which is probably the room i don't use that much." He said and I couldn't help but laugh.

"Now that I can believe." I laughed. He then showed me the living room and bathroom and then he showed me upstairs before we walked back downstairs.

"So Holly you'll be sleeping in same room as Nathan while you stay here and please no funny business you two." Karen told us and Nathan put his arm around my waist.

"Can't promise anything." He said.

"Nathan! Oh my god, Karen nothing will happen I can assure you." I told her. She then walked away laughing. I hit Nathan round the chest. "You one day mister are gonna be so dead." I told him.

"You wouldn't dare kill me though." He cheekily said.

"You watch it mister, i'll whip out my pistols in a minute." I told him.

"Is that a sexual reference?" He winked.

"Oh my god. You boy are so dirty!" I exclaimed.

"You love it though," He told me.

"No, I hate it. I hate you so much right now." I told him seriously. He then picked me up and spun me around. I couldn't help but squeal a little bit because I wasn't expecting.

"You can't hate me. You don't hate me. I knwo you don't." He smiled and put me down.

"You know I don't hate you. I love you." I smiled.

"And I love you too." He smiled and I pecked his lips.

"You two are so funny and cute." I heard someone say from behind us. We turned around and it was Jess.

"Haha, thanks." I smiled.

"So you're Max's sister am I correct?" She asked.

"Yeah that's me and you're Nathan's sister am I correct?" I asked jokingly.

"You my friend are correct." She laughed.

"I'm going to leave you two tohave a little talk. I'll be in the living room." Nathan smiled and walked off.

"You can come up to my room if you want?" Jess asked.

"Yeah, that'll be cool." I smiled and followed her upstairs. We got to her room and we sat down on her bed.

"So I hear you're a professional stylist, that must be such an awesome job!" Jess exclaimed.

"It is pretty cool, spending the day around clothes and matching them up on celebs. It's interesting. What do you want to do when you're older?" I asked her.

"I don't know really, Probably something in teaching or maybe performing arts. I'm not sure. My A Level options are very vague and give me a wide variety of choices." She said.

"ooo, interesting. So I've been meaning to ask you. How annoying is Nathan as a brother?" I asked her.

"Well...he is very, very, very annoying and embarassing. However he is very protective of me. Especially how I've got a boyfriend now. He's like 'if he ever hurts you i'm going to beat the shit out of him'" She laughed.

"Ahh, the protective older brother. I know some of those." I laughed.

"Is Max protective over you as well?" She asked.

"Just a little tiny bit. It took him ages to get used to me and Nathan being together." I told her.

"I must say you and Nathan are like the perfect couple. I don't think he's going to be letting you go anytime soon." Jess told me and it made me smile.

"Well I don't want to let him go anytime soon." I smiled.

"Well I think you're awesome just saying." She smiled.

"I think you're more awesome than me." I told her and we both started laughing.

"I see something different in Nathan's eyes when he looks at you. Like yeah I've met a couple of his past girlfriends but he has never look at them like he looks at you." She said.

"Aww that's cute." I said and then we started messing around and tlaking about our hobbies and favourite tv shows and actors and stuff like it. Jess is really funny to be around.
