Chapter 10

~HAYLEE'S P.O.V.~

"What!?" I half screamed at my mom. How could she do this to me? I was pacing around my room in anger.

"Haylee.. Sweetie, you need to calm down and let me explain." my mom said softly, sitting on my bed. "Calm down? Ha, you expect me to 'calm down'? I've lived my whole live thinking my father, the only one I could EVER have is dead, and now you tell me he's alive, but you're hiding me from him. No! I will NOT calm down!" I yelled.

"Haylee.. He's a bad person." my mom said. "Why can't you let me decide that for myself?! He's my father for fucks sake!"

"That's enough!" my mom yelled. I stopped in my tracks, I had never heard my mom raise her voice. "Sit down and let me explain."

I let out a heavy sigh and plopped down on my bed. "Fine." I grumbled.

"You're father is a very bad man, and I've done everything in my power to hide you from him. You are not meeting him, and that's final." she said stiffly.

"Mom! What? No! You can't do that he's my father! The only reason you don't want me to see him is because he left you. Is this some kind of sick punishment to him? Not allowing him to see his own daughter?" I yelled. My mom and I never fight, but this time I'm not backing down. For some reason, I really wanted to see my dad. Yeah, he hadn't been around my whole life, but maybe he's wanted to be. Like my mom said, she's been hiding me from him.

"I said that's enough Haylee. I have my reasons from keeping you from him. That's all you need to know." my mother said, and started to leave my room. I groaned in frustration. There was still me I wanted, no NEEDED to know.

"Mom wait.. I have one more thing I need to ask you." I grabbed her arm gently. "Am I.. Is dad.. I mean.. Do you.. believe in supernatural beings?" I stumbled over my words. "I.. I don't know what you're talking about." she turned and started to walk away. "Am I a werewolf?" I looked right into her eyes. She paused for a second. "I told you all you need to know." then she walked out the door and closed it behind her.

Throwing my self down on my bed, I groaned in frustration. Fine. If she won't tell me, my dad will. I just have to find him.

But I can't just drop out of school.. I'm sure Gabby, Angela, and Dylan are freaking out, seeing as I missed two days of school, and have barely spoken to them. I decided to text Hunter and see if he was going.

ME

HEY, ARE YOU GOING TO SCHOOL TOMORROW?

Then I thought of Jenna.

AND HOW'S JENNA?

I waited a few minutes, wondering about my little Jenna. I hoped she was okay. Hunter will keep her safe, I'm sure.

HUNTER(:

YEAH, I'M GOING TO SCHOOL. I'LL PICK YOU UP AT THE NORMAL TIME. JENNA IS GOING TO BE FINE, SHE'S IN A LOT OF PAIN RIGHT NOW, BUT YOU CAN COME SEE HER AFTER SCHOOL TOMORROW IF YOU WANT.

ME

I'D LOVE TO COME OVER. DID YOU TELL YOUR PARENTS ABOUT US..? WILL THEY APPROVE, SEEING AS I'M HUMAN AND ALL....

HUNTER(:

I'M SURE THEY'LL LOVE YOU. AND THEY'LL HELP US WITH YOUR SPELL.

IF YOU THINK SO. I HAVE TO GO TO SLEEP NOW. GOODNIGHT(:

I smiled at his text, and went to sleep.

How do you guys like it?? Are you excited for Haylee meeting Hunter's parents?

Would you guys rather I did less updates, but longer chapters, or quick updates with shorter chapters?
