Hunter's canine teeth extended and easily sliced through Jenna's soft milky white skin. I couldn't believe what he was doing. He quickly moved and bit both her wrists leaving bleed bite marks.

I gasped at Jenna's high pitched scream filled the air.

"Hunter! Hunter stop! You're hurting her!" I cried. Jenna screamed louder, her body buckling in pain. I tried to push him off her. "Hunter! Get off!!" I pulled and pushed at his body.

With one fluid movement his pushed me back and I stumbled, falling on my butt. "Owe.. Hunter! Stop now!" I screamed. "I'm saving her!" he roared. Standing up and facing me. His eyes were so intense it scared me. I backed up against a wall, and swallowed. He took a step toward me and I flinched. Instantly his eyes softened, and he stopped moving.

"Haylee.. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to frighten you." he murmured. Jenna screamed again and I went to run to her but Hunter grabbed me. "Let me go! I need to help her!" I screamed, trying to squirm away from him. My efforts were useless against his strength. I was sobbing uncontrollable, trying to reach Jenna.

"Haylee. Haylee look at me." he placed his hand lightly under my chin. My eyes met his, and I cried softly. "She's going to be okay. The change just comes with intense pain." he caressed my face. I wiped my eyes, "The change?"

~HUNTER'S P.O.V.~

The change. How do I explain this to her? How do I explain what Jenna is going through? The pain of every bone in your body breaking at once. The burning in your heart that makes you feel like you're on fire. Massive headache that feels like your brain is being split in two. I looked down and her, and ran a hand through my hair.

"Yes, the change." I said, looking away from her. "Is she becoming like you?" Haylee asked. "Yes. It was the only way to save her.. I.. I'm sorry." I said as Jenna screamed again. "Why does it hurt her so much?" Haylee asked softly, with tears cascading down her beautiful cheeks. "Her inner wolf is growing. Attaching herself to Jenna's soul, heart, and body. It's a whole new being growing inside of you, but you're still you." I creased my brow at my bad explanation. "See, its not that the wolf is a completely different being. Just a second part. With different instincts. Since she is only 14, it'll be extremely hard for her to change. Most wolves don't go though they're first change until they are 16 or 17. She'll be the same Jenna. Just faster, stronger, and overall better reflects." I let that set in on Haylee. "Oh." she frowned. "Isn't there anything we can do to help?" her soft voice broke at the end of the question.

"No.. we just have to wait it out. But we need to leave before her dad returns.." I went over and picked up a whimpering, Jenna. "Don't worry sweetheart. It'll end soon." I whispered in her ear. "How long?" Haylee asked while holding the door open for me. "It takes 6 hours all together. So about 5 and a half hours." I responded.

We got out if the building as fast as we could. Right as I sat Jenna down in the back seat, a truck pulled up.

I recognized that smell and growled. It was Jenna's father.

~HAYLEE'S P.O.V.~

Just as Hunter put Haylee in the backseat, another car pulled up. I heard him growl, the intimidating sound made me shiver, but I wasn't scared. As soon as I looked up, I looked up the reason for the growl.

The truck belonged to Jenna's father.

I started to panick as his truck came to a stop. Hunter stood in front of me protectivly. Jenna's father started to walk toward us, I was shaking.

"Get in the car Haylee." Hunter growled out. "But w-" he cut me off. "Just get in the fucking car." he almost shouted. I cringed back from him, and swallowed. Never had I realized how scary he could really be. As I went to get in the car, Jenna's father reached us. He was livid.
