We finally made it to the arena where my match was going to take place.
When everyone wished me good luck I nodded thanks and headed to where the proctor was standing.
My match was starting now.
"Zaku Abumi vs. Sakura Haruno." The proctor called out.
"Sorry sweetie, I would want to easy on you but the Lord wants me to 'give it my all' so he can actually see what you're made of." He murmured.
"It's fine." I sighed.
Me and Zaku were on pretty good terms actually.
He didn't want to strangle me like Dosu, he was just doing what he was told.
I felt something lurch up my throat.
I turned to the side and violently coughed.
I was coughing so much it would've put Hayate to shame.
I felt the uncomfortable feeling in my throat go away.
To my horror, the ground was covered in blood.
I decided to put on a brave show.
"Now that that's out of the way, let's get started." I smirked.
"If you say so." Zaku said while putting his hands up in a surrender sort of way.
"Just remember, I have nothing against you like Dosu, but I'm just following orders." He whispered so I only could hear him.
I nodded silently.
"And BEGIN!" The proctor yelled.
I fell to the ground screaming.
Zaku was really serious for this wasn't he?
I felt a wet substance seep from my ears.
Some came out of my mouth too.
I recognised what it was.
My blood.
I didn't have time to react as Zaku charged towards me.
I feebly put my arms in an x formation to try and block his attack.
It didn't work.
A loud 'BOOM' was heard as I crashed into the wall.
"Sakura!" I heard my comrades gasp.
I slid off the wall and climbed shakily to my feet.
My blood was dripping down from my forehead onto the floor.
I ran and aimed a kick to his stomach.
It mets it mark, its just I wanted to feel so much more pain, i used my f*cking bad leg.
I grimaced, trying not to let out a string of curses the Hokage wouldn't even known that existed.
"You hurt already?" Zaku smirked.
I saw an apology in his eyes.
I let him know not to feel guilty and do what he has to do.
I knew from experience not meeting someone's expectations was the worst feeling in the world.
"Well I wouldn't be if you hadn't attacked me in the freaking damn Forest of Death!" I yelled.
"Hn. Maybe if you were strong you could've gone unscathed from our battle." Zaku said arrogantly.
"Whatever. Orochimaru slut." I muttered the last part to myself.
I looked up at Kakashi to see he had a shocked look on his face.
