Ugh I'm so lonely my sister's holed up in her room with her friend, my mom's on the phone and my brother's going out gUYS COME OVER SO WE CAN HAVE A PARTY. Like my summer's been really boring bc I had an argument with my "friends" before summer and it's gotten kind of bad which means staying inside all day and shit and ughiuhfjksakh.

Also, I'd like to dedicate this chapter to Mickey0503 for helping me out with something because guess what? This book is being translated into Italian and French! Luke's POV.

"Why didn't you tell me?!"

My mum started screaming at me after I told her Mia was my girlfriend now. I told her to keep it down since Mia was right next door, but clearly, she couldn't manage that.

"Mum, calm down!" I groaned and paced around the room.

"But you didn't tell me!"

"She can hear us!"

"Luke Robert Hemmings, this is all your fault! You could've saved me from screaming but instead, you decided to keep this quiet!" Mum crossed her arms and shook her head at me. "I'm very disappointed in you."

"Mum, I'm not five. It's none of your business if I have a girlfriend or not." I shot back.

"But it's Mia!"

"Mum!"

Suddenly there was a knock at the door, causing my mum and I to whip our heads round as it opened slowly.

"Um, hi. Sorry. I was just packing then I started to hear yelling." Mia bit her bottom lip nervously, glancing at me then my mum.

"Sorry about that." I smiled innocently and looked at my mum.

"Mia, could you please come in for a minute?" She asked politely. I frowned and watched Mia walk towards my mom slowly.

"Something wrong?" Mia asked, looking up at my mum. I could tell she still looked nervous about something.

All of a sudden, my mom threw her arms around Mia's neck and hugged her tightly.

"I'm so glad it's you!" She cried.

Mia looked confused but hugged back.

"Liz, what are you talking about?" She asked, resting her chin on my mum's shoulder.

"You and Luke are dating." My mum rolled her eyes. "And you guys didn't want to tell me?"

Mia quickly shook her head, pulling away from the hug. She placed both her hands firmly on my mum's shoulders and gave her a smile. "No, Liz. That's not it at all. We were just worried you might not approve of it, that's all."

My mum stared at Mia like she was crazy. "But it's you!" She exclaimed, throwing her hands up in the air. "Finally a smart, polite girl who doesn't-"

"Alright, mum. I think she gets it." I muttered, rolling my eyes.

She rolled her eyes at me and smiled weakly at Mia. "I'm just so relieved it's you."
