Chapter Eleven

My POV:

The sparks flew like there were bombs going off. The kiss lasted for only a second, but that

second, was one of the best of my life. When our lips parted a huge smile spread across my face.

There was a slight glimmer in Dean's eyes that reflected in mine.

The sound of the trickling waterfall that led into the small pond, the sound of the little birds'

chirps, and the sound of the wind blowing in the trees would stay with me forever. Dean grabbed

my hand and led me towards the pond. The sand felt nice on my toes, and the breeze felt nice in

my hair, but nothing felt as nice as Dean's hand in mine.

By now we were shoulder deep in the pond. The water in the pond was as still as the trees on a

windless sunny day. The only movement in the pond was where Dean and I were standing and

where the little waterfall was.

"Hey Dean, what kinds of things did you do as a kid?" A sad look crossed Dean's face, but it left as

quick as it came.

"As a kid I spent most of my time watching Sam while my dad was off hunting. Sam and I spent

our whole childhood moving from place to place. Motel to motel, school to school. We never really

stayed in any one place longer than we had to. As soon as we grew-up little Sam turned into big

Sam, and then just like that he was gone. He went off to college to become a lawyer, while I went

off to carry on the family business. That all lasted until my dad went out for a case and never came

back. Then me and Sam started hunting again while trying to find our dad. We still haven't found

our dad, but we did find you."

While Dean told his story, the tears began to build up in my eyes. When one tear slipped down my

face Dean's hand came up and wiped the tear away.

"Why are you crying?" He said.

"You never really had a childhood, and that's not fair. No one deserves that, especially not you and

Sam."

"What about you? What was your childhood like?"

I heaved a heavy sigh before I began to speak, "Now that's a long story..."
