The next day Sana texted Y/N a location of a coffee shop where they could meet up. When Y/N went there, Sana was already sitting so Y/N sat down in front of her.

"How are you, Sana-ssi?" Y/N questioned in Korean.

"It's better if we speak in Japanese. I don't want anyone to hear that I can speak Korean. Especially my family. They think I forgot the language." Sana answered in Japanese.

"Okay then we'll speak Japanese." Y/N smiled. "Let me ask you again. How are you?"

"I don't know. I didn't sleep all night. You confronted me with something that I haven't been confronted with in 15 years so yeah lots of thoughts are running in my head."

"I get that." The cop nodded. "I know you're sceptical about me but I'm here to help you."

"What do you really want from me? I mean you came here to find me and you did. So what's next? What are you planning to do with this?"

"Let's order first." Y/N said and they both ordered some coffee before Y/N answered her question.

"Honestly it all depends on you. What do you want to do? I promised your sister that I would find you. All your family wants to know is whether you're alive and well. So I will keep my promise to her and tell her that I found you. They deserve to know that you're alive and well. Whether you want to reunite with them is your choice but I will tell them what I found."

"It must have been hard for them. Losing their daughter at the age of 10 and 15 years later still not knowing if she's alive." Sana looked down.

"Yeah... So my question is, do you want to see them? I don't expect you to go back to Korea and suddenly start living with your real family. You have a whole new life and identity right now and they understand that too. But I do think they deserve to see you at least once."

"I do want to see them. In fact there's nothing I want more but I need time. I need to talk to my current family about this. I don't think they knew that I was kidnapped either. I heard them talking when I was a kid about how my family sold me off for money so those men told them the same things. I don't think they would have adopted me if they knew I was kidnapped. They took very well care of me for the past fifteen years. They gave me everything I needed and they loved me. I can't just go to Korea to see my real family without telling them. Although they're not my real family, I do love them."

"I totally understand." Y/N nodded. Nayeon and her parents have been through a lot but so has Sana. Imagine getting kidnapped at the age of 10 and being sold off to a different country where you have to form a whole new identity.

"I just need you to give me some time to figure it all out. I've been living with traumas for the past 15 years and I experienced a very hurtful childhood. Now finding out the reason for it is really confronting. So can you please not tell them yet? I am not ready to reveal myself."

"I promised that the moment I found you, I would tell them. Especially Nayeon unnie."

"Please just don't tell them yet. I need a few days at most and then you can tell them. Please, Y/N-chan." Sana pleaded.

"Fine, I'll give you some time. I'm going back to Korea tonight so you can let me know your decision by calling or texting me."

"Thank you. Can you perhaps call Nayeon unnie?"

"Now?"

"Yes, I am really curious about what she sounds like. I won't say anything. I just want to hear you two speak." Sana has been curious for the past 15 years about how her sister and parents turned out to be.
