"Hey," I say, looking down at Riley who had her head nuzzle in my neck, her arms drape around my waist, eyes closed. "you okay? You haven't said anything for like an hour."

She hums, snuggling closer to me.

I frown, rubbing her arms softly. "Talk to me princess," The concern was evident in my voice as I look down at her.

"It's nothing," She murmurs and I press my lips in a tight line. I know when a girl says its nothing, it's defiantly about something.

"Amor, por favor hablas," (Love, please talk,) I told her in Spanish and she hums.

"Talk to me in Spanish more, I like it," She says and press a kiss to my cheek.

"Riley." I say her name, the 'r' rolling off my tongue.

Riley sighs and sits up, she props herself on her elbow and looks at me. "What?"

"Something's on your mind, you can talk to me about it you know, I'm here for you." I tell her, sitting up more against my pillows.

Riley shakes her head, then jumps off my hospital bed and runs her hands through her light blue hair. "I know, I know. It's just. . ." She trails off, pausing at the end of my bed and doesn't turn to look at me.

"It's just what?" I pressed, watching her.

"I-I," Then she stops and turns around to look at me, she forces a smile on her face, the mix emotions in her eyes disappear and there was something of a bit of desperation. "do you do long distance relationships?" She asks me.

Her question catches me off guard, and I throw her a puzzled look. "W-What? What do--no, I don't. Why are you asking that? We're not in a long distance relationship Rils."

And she gives me a small nod and her hands trembles slightly, she quickly clasp them together and doesn't look me in the eye, her eyes on the floor instead. "I know that," Her voice was soft and quiet. Then she looks up and points to the door. "I'm gonna get us some snacks, or something, I'll be right back." She says and before I could stop her, she was out of the room, her quick footsteps pounding and fading in the hallways.

I grew confused. What was that about?

Sometimes I don't understand girls, they are confusing at times and others understanding, I don't get how I understand Demi sometimes.

Oh well, must be a girl thing.

I sighed, pushing a hand through my messy hair and looking around me. I was still connected to the machines, them making a soft buzz or whatever, my chest still numb from the surgery I had a while ago.

A knock on my door makes me look up and I smile at Sammy who stood there, a soft smile on her face. "Hey kiddo, just came to check on you before I leave for the night," She says as she steps into the room, walking over to me. "how you feeling?"

I shrug my shoulders, offering her a smile of my own. "I'll be alright,"

She nods, and her eyes glances over at the machines.

"Any donor?" I ask her and she shakes her head, but gives me a reassuring smile.

"No, at the moment there is none. But don't worry kid, there's going to be a donor," she tells me and reaches over, ruffling my hair. I swat her hand away and she chuckles.

"Yeah I guess," I smiled at her.

"Well, I'll see you tomorrow. Get some rest kid, you've been through a lot today." She says, and I watch as she leaves my hospital room, waving at me before disappearing completely.
