Inesa's POV

I remembered last night, when Flora came back. I remember that sad gaze, it broke my heart. I didn't ask her, but we cuddled all night. I'm wondering why they're hiding things from me.. It's not like I don't know or find out. I already knew that Elizabeth and Eden knew each other. They didn't seem fazed when I told them, not in the slightest. Maybe they're trying to protect me, but now it seems so confusing.. Especially when I remember the events of last night when I looked for Marcella.

"Briar, I want to ask you something.." I saw her look at Marcella, and noticed how even in dim moonlight, she looked graceful.

"Ask away.." I saw Marcella was nervous, but didn't dare say a word.

"How did you get those bandages on your eyes?" I watched tears fill her eyes, and I watched Marcella grab her hand. She turned away, and smiled.

"I caused this to happen, I didn't protect her, so I must pay the price." I watched Marcella shake her head. I heard footsteps, and I ran away, and saw Elizabeth. I walked towards the door, hoping to listen, and heard their conversation.

"My lady please-"

"May you recover well, I want you to be able to teach my new right hand how to properly serve me." I heard sobs, and saw Elizabeth walk out. I saw Marcella hold onto Briar, and it looked like they had a bonding moment.

I remember that Marcella and Flora had a horrible life with our biological father before he remarried my mother. Maybe they found a sort of kinship, and maybe it's for the best. Deep down, I feel weird. My sisters leaving me isn't a new thought that has come into my head, and I'm used to it. I tried to shake that thought out of my head, and I had thought about the invitation that Flora had brought back, and told us. I reached into my backpack, and pulled the paper of the student council. I had found out, it was only given to those who were invited to join.

Maybe I could figure out what's going on, if I join. Maybe then, I wouldn't be considered useless, and I can help my sisters out. I checked the paper, and saw it was during third period that the meeting would commence, and passes were going to be given to miss class.

I walked to my second period class, and opened the door only to see Ms. Daisy wasn't present. I noticed how the substitute's eyes turned a slight green and reminded me of Barnaby's color changing eyes.

'Is this teacher like Barnaby?' I walked to my seat, and waited for Eden to stop by. It seemed odd that all the other art teachers were present except Ms. Daisy. It's probably due to a private matter, but an inner thought couldn't help but slither into my mind.

'What if she disappeared like Silas? Remember Circe also mysteriously transferred, what if the same occurred to Ms. Daisy?' I shake my head, refusing to believe that. I saw Eden walk in, and she was alone, not with Adriene. It seems after the incident with Adriene has caused them not to speak anymore. A twinge of joy filled my heart, but then I felt guilty.

'Why should you feel guilty? Now you get to spend time with them, and Adriene hurt you, she got what was coming.' The devil on my shoulder whispered in my ear; I couldn't help but agree. I felt a warm embrace, and saw Eden. Their cool skin gently touched my skin, and felt her hands rub against my gut. I felt soft tingles reach to each sense, feeling my body shiver. I gasp softly, and try to play it cool. It seemed every time I was with Eden, all thoughts disappear and I'm on cloud nine. The teacher now looked at all of us, and I couldn't help but feel embarrassed.

She didn't let go of me, but I now felt her lips on my ear. I felt my face starting to get hot. The bell rang interrupting the teacher's gaze. Everyone sat down and Eden left me. The door opened and I saw Barnaby and other members of the council. I noticed Blaise, and felt my heart stop at his gaze. He smiled and waved, but I noticed his eyes turned green. I looked behind me to see Eden, who had a smirk with green eyes. A bad feeling in my gut began to sprout, and watched the tension rise between the two. Barnaby made an announcement but they didn't take their eyes off of each other. The group left after the announcement, and I went up to the teacher, seeing the dark brown eyes turn a shade of bright green.
