Family time

It was September second and I was waiting on my youngest child to send me a letter on what house she got put in. Her father, brother, and uncles was in Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin while I was from Hufflepuff. "Morning beauty! Whatcha cooking?" I smile to my best friend "pancakes beasty!" Putting the pancakes onto the plate I tell Regulus "is Barty coming this morning?" He shakes his head no leaning over my shoulder stealing a strawberry "he's got work at the ministry again. They always call him in, it's ridiculous. We never have weekends together anymore." I give him a sympathetic look "I'm sorry beasty, at least you still have me!" I smile as he kisses my cheek. "I know beauty... are we playing beauty and the beast again for baby melody?" I sigh smiling chopping up fruit for my three year old "of course! When would we not? She loves it, if not she gets her daddy to play Prince and princess tea party. He's already had like ten this week and it's only Wednesday, but he told me he wouldn't trade it for the world."

He laughs and in walks bellatrix and Thomas "hello you two!" I watch her closely "someone is in a good mood...why?" She smiles looking like she's about to cry "because I'm going to have a baby!" reggie stares at her "aren't you a little old to be having one?" She gives him a evil stare and a slap on the head as they argue, Tom comes to stand beside me watching them. "So you guys finally did it huh?" He smiles and steals a blue berry as I scramble eggs. "After what her ex husband did to her, I wanted to give her the chance to see how a real man should treat a woman. So we got married and found a adoption center who approved us for a baby. We get the child tomorrow, I'm excited for us. After all she's been through, she deserves it.

I was about to tell him something until I heard two men swearing loudly and a loud girly scream. I sigh and start laughing, already knowing what had happened. The three men in question come down stairs. Everyone stares at them open mouthed. "What happen to you three!?" I smirk putting all the eggs onto a plate "ask my wife.." I hear James grumble. I turn and look at the innocently, but when I saw them I just busted out laughing. "Loving the new look my love. The yellow hair really does wonders for you, and Sirius the green looks marvelous and Remmy loving the blue." I say pulling out the pack of bacon from the fridge.

They give me a non amused look "which kid did it, we need to give them a marauder prank." I give them a straight look "you will do no such thing, they were excited about planning a prank on the marauders, be happy it wasn't the other thing they wanted to do." They turn and walk back upstairs after eyeing the bacon. James stops and runs back to me kissing my lips. "We won't, they actually did a really good job, because none of us were expecting it. I love you and the food smells so good my love." I smile and give him another kiss "thank you prongsie, now go change so we can eat. I have to discuss baby stuff with Bella, cissa, and Andy." He nods kissing my cheek running back up the stairs.

A little while after setting the table I feel a tug on my dress. I looked down and it was my sweet baby girl. "Hi Mel! What do you want today?" She thinks on it "can I have tea parties and beasty and beauty?" I look towards Reggie "of course my love!" She squeals in happiness. "So how old is the kid?" Bella smiles as Tom riddle wraps his arms around her "she's five and she's lovely. We met her before, she loved us!" I smile and hug them both "I'm so happy for you guys!"

A familiar owl swoops in with a letter. I smile already knowing what house she was in. Three men run down the stairs excited "open!!" I raise an eyebrow looking at them "please my love?" James says I smile and open it out son "Harry is a Gryffindor, Harper is in Ravenclaw, Cassiopeia is now a...Slytherin!" The three men grumble as Bella, Tom, cissa, Lucius, and Reggie celebrate.

I look towards my baby girl "you'll be a Hufflepuff huh?" She giggles and hugs me close "of course mommy!" My heart melts "how about some beasty and beauty huh?" She squeals running to her spot in the living room grabbing her teddy. Waiting no time Reggie and I change our clothes with a spell. I was wearing a golden dress while he wears a blue tux. I sing a tale as old as time. It's her favorite song. We bowed as everyone applauded.

When we were done we changed back, I picked her up whispering to her that she needs her uncles and daddy upstairs for tea! And that's exactly what she did. The ladies and I drank whine and talked about the newest addition. When melody finally took her nap everyone was wore out. The ladies and I just smirked from the sidelines "so how was it?" James smiles "like i always tell you my love, I wouldn't trade it for the world." I smile and walk over and kiss his lips "I love you Mr. Potter " he smiles and brings my head down to kiss again "I love you too Mrs. Potter"
