Monday.

This day has finally come, simula na kasi ng training namin sa org where I will be trained by the one and only Ms. Solana.

I don't know if kinakabahan ako o nae-excite. I haven't seen her yet but I could feel my insides burning just by the thought of her.

Matapos ang nangyari sa nipa hut last friday night, do'n ko lang napagtanto that I am actually attracted to her. Ugh! May pasabi pa ako kay Maevis dati that liking your professors isn't ethical— well who's the clown now.

It takes me back to what happened after she asked me if pwede ba niya ako tawagin sa second name ko, para naman ako'ng na estatwa dahil sa sobrang lapit nito sa'kin. When I woke up from my trance, there I saw her sleeping softly beside me.

Tas kinaumagahan, when the skies cleared up inaya niya na agad ako umuwi at hinatid pa ako sa apartment ko, we didn't talk kahit sa byahe.

So this will be the first time I'll be seeing her after that.

"Khio!!!!!"

Naglalakad ako patungo sa klase ko when I heard a familiar voice— wait.. don't tell me..

"Elyzra?!" My eyes widened at the sight of my cousin whom I haven't talked to for ages.

"What the heck! You're still alive!"

Mahigpit niya akong niyakap na ginawaran ko rin pabalik, it has been so long since I've seen her. The last time was probably 10 years ago.

"Of course I am. Nakauwi ka na pala galing sa New york—"

"Pinuntahan kita sa inyo but it was said that you left your home a year ago."

"Oh.. haha. Did mom tell you?"

"Hindi nga ako kinita nila Tita, it was Manang Cynthia who told me."

Of course, hindi talaga haharapin nila Mom and Dad si Ely who is probably one of my closest in the Avila clan. "What are you doing here?"

"Well... I got a tip from someone that you might be studying here so I applied as a late enrollee and now I'm gonna study here too!"

My jaw dropped after hearing that— hindi naman sa hindi ako masaya in fact, I am really happy since Ely is gonna be here. Siguro ay nahihiya lang ako? that she'll find out what I've been doing now and would probably distance herself away from me.

"Huy, bakit parang hindi ka masaya diyan? We have a lot to catch up to, Khio. I didn't know you left.. Tita and Tito just agreed to it?" She asked. Eto na nga e. That's why I don't like seeing familiar faces because I have been avoiding talking stuff about home.

"U-uh.. Ely. I have to go, mala-late na kasi ako sa next subject ko. I promise we'll have more time to talk since you'll be around here more often. See you!"

I let out a sigh of relief as soon as I got away from her. It was kind of true na malalate ako since it will be Ms. Solana's class but aside from that, hindi lang talaga ako handa sagutin ang mga tanong niya.

Ms. Solana's class hasn't started yet since wala pa ito kahit time naman na. Kanina pa rin ako tahimik dahil halos hindi na ako makahinga dahil sa lakas ng tibok ng puso ko. Ewan ko ba kinakabahan talaga ako kada naiisip siya. Lord, attraction pa lang naman 'to diba?

"Khio, dude. You alright? kanina ka pa tahimik diyan a." Maevis said as she approached me.

"Y-yeah, I'm okay. May iniisip lang."

"Tch. Alam mo, you're keeping secrets from me ha, magtatampo na ako sa'yo niyan."

I wasn't able to answer her when the woman I was waiting for entered the room. Her signature poker face was plastered on her face as she placed her things down on the table.
