Chapter Eighteen:

We were back on track once we left Katie and continued on to finding Erik. Damon kept mumbling non-since as we continued heading to the direction that Katie had mentioned to us before we left. My legs felt like crap. I thought I had pulled a muscle as I heard my ankle crack,

"Ow!" I said trying to sooth the pain rubbing back and forth as I sat on the ground. Damon rolled his eye's,

"Come on, it's just a little muscle pain. You'll be all right." He pulled me forward as I stood up feeling the awful pain once again. I winced as he walked away from me and continued walking,

"Jerk." I mumbled,

"I heard that!" Damon yelled, pointing his finger in the air,

"Well you are!" I yelled back, stomping my foot in irritating forgetting the pain. Once again the lungful pain came rushing in. I winced once again.

"Penelope! Come on hurry up!" Feeling my knees wobble beneath me knowing I can't take it anymore. I dropped on the floor motionless as Damon ran to me lowering himself to me.

"God Penelope! You got bit by something." He ripped some of his clothing and wiped some of the dirt on my ankle. I just realized that blood was on his ripped piece of cloth. I almost puked...almost.

"What are we going to do?" I asked, my voice quivering. I was scared as in what bit me. What if it was a snake? A poisonous snake? What if it was a spider? A poisonous Spider? I know getting carried away with it, but I was scared.

"I'll carry you." Damon said, saying it like that was the obvious answer.

"No. No. No." I said shaking my head,

"Fine, or I leave you and you stay here with a bad injured ankle and die." He smirked,

"Jerk."

"You know it." Pulling me up and lifting me up to his shoulders.

"Do I really have to hang down like this?" I ask.

"Well, how do you want me to carry you?" Damon asked,

"Well, maybe me sitting on you would work fine."

"Ugh Penelope!" I smiled in victory as I sat on his shoulders,

{5 hours later}

"Are we there yet?" I whined as Damon continued to ignore me,

"Damon!"

"What! No, were not there yet. We have to catch the bus remember?" Damon lifted me off, "You should be fine now." He was right, my knee felt better. We saw a sign that read Bus Stop. A big looking hippie bus made it's way to were Damon and I stood. It stopped and the doors flung open. We entered seeing hardly anyone except for some people, but they were to occupied with there electronics. Damon and I took a seat on the front row.

"So, train or plane?" Damon asked,

"What?" I answered.

"Train or plane?"

"Train."

"Why not plane. It could take us to Italy more faster."

"No, I've never been on a plane before."I say, lowering my head down,

"Never? Wow, how weird can you be."

I slaped his arm, "Shut up." He laughed.

~..~

It took a while as we headed to the train station. Damen kept debating on plane or train. Which I've never rode in a plane before and so with a few fights here and there. I won.

"Plane would've been more faster." said Damon, "Now, its going to be boring."

"Hey! Trains are fun. You just have to get use to the idea that's it." I shrugged my shoulders as Demon rolled his eyes. Tyipical of him,

.........

The ride to Italy, was complety boring. I rested my head on my seat as Demon flashed me his most famous smile, 'I told you so'.  I glared at him giving him my middle finger,

"Ouch! I don't think I deserved that. Why don't you just admit I was right?" He asked, "Besides, everything you choose is always coming out bad news." I growled at him,

'"Never, and my choices don't always come out bad." I pointed out,

"Really, Can I decipher that?" he raised his brow,

I shook my head, "No. You know were this will lead." I say,

"Really?" he moves closer to me, breathing on my neck, "And what is that?" he askes.

"I-I-" He laughes as he moves back to his seat,"That wasn't funny. Lets just ignore each other when we finillay get there."

"Fine." he laid his head back, smiling with his eyes closed,

"Fine." I say, looking out the window as the trees zoom past us,

Were coming Erik.

I wake up feeling a cold rush of wind. Trees surround me as I'm stayed put in one place. I see a figure looming around, trying to be invisable. I take an unsteady step only for me to stop. Two pairs of green eyes watch me. I hisatate before I take another step and another.....

"Were waiting Penelope."

~'..'~

Taking heavy breaths I stand up from my seat only to see Demon sleeping. I groan,

I walk to the bathroom, lukily nobody didn't have to go. I close the door behind me only to see myself in the mirror. My eye's looked tired. Hair was completly messed up. I risnsed water on my face.

"Get a hold of yourself Penelope." I say to myself, "Put yourself together. It was only a dream."

I tried convincing myself of it, but I knew for a fact that those green eyes belonged to Erik.
