we were called out to the runway early the next morning, 0400.
we packed in and got ready to go.
i hadn't slept yet and it was at least a 13 hour flight, so i decided to try and get some in now.
my eyes were practically rolling closed on their own anyway.
"you alright sarge?" soap asked from beside me.
he had replaced the guy who usually sat next to me, the guy who i punched last night.
"tired, i haven't slept." i sighed, stretching my arms forward as i spoke.
"idiot." simon chuckled from beside me.
i shot him a silent glare and closed my eyes, putting my head back against the wall of the plane.
"rest on me sarge, it'll be a lot more comfy." soap spoke up, moving patches from his shoulder and putting his coat over it so it would be smoother on my face.
"you sure?" i asked.
he nodded.
"i'll wake you when we're close." he smiled softly as i nodded, resting my head down gently on his shoulder.
within minutes i was fast asleep, as if i had never been awake at all.

i awoke to soap shaking me gently.
"we're almost there lass." he patted my shoulder.
he had his arm snaked around my back, holding me upright as i slept on him.
i sat up and stretched, yawning.
"how long was i out?" i questioned, looking around.
"12, maybe 13 hours?" ghost spoke up.
i nodded, feeling every sense come back to me.
"i gotta pee." i said softly, cracking my neck as i looked around.
"you can't really pee in bottles like the rest of us, can you hold it until we can find you a bush?" ghost joked.
"test me and i will not only pee in a bottle, i will swap it with your water." i jokingly threatened.
i saw him retch silently at my joke and knew i had gotten to him.
"alright, alright. can you hold it though?" soap asked.
"probably, but not for very long."
he nodded.
"we're 5 minutes out, we're doing a middle of nowhere drop." he stretched out.
"...so finding a bush is an actual option?" i asked.
"unfortunately." he nodded.
i sighed and nodded, accepting my fate.
