ONE MONTH LATER

"We need some more flowers over here!" I shout out the order, pointing at the large gaping hole. One of the workers from the STARK relief foundation came over with another load of flowers.

I thanked him and started to fill the empty area. New Asgard was a buzz of activity. In less than a month, with the help of the STARK relief foundation, my people, the people of Norway and a few other volunteers from countless other charities we've managed to turn the empty land of New Asgard into a small village.

All of the families had houses, we had supplies of clothes and food. Everything we need to survive for at least a year. Plans are in place for more buildings but for now this will suffice.

And I'm also still Queen. Technically. I've tried talking to Thor but he refuses to take the role back. And I have no other choice but to just keep it. I mean I can't just leave our people by themselves. But I've enlisted help.

Back home my father had his war council to help him. Here I've made my own little council, not for war clearly but to help me take care of things. Because though I might be Queen, I have other obligations to. To my husband and to my daughter.

They've already met the people. They love Freya, and they've accepted Steve. Now that I think about it, Steve is technically the King because he's married to me.

I finished placing the flowers on the side of the boat. It was medium size, not that large. When Rocket, Nebula and I went to retrieve the bodies of our people I didn't realize how many we had lost. It was too much.

We were giving them an Asgardian Funeral, we cremated all of them. Including my brother. My people hold onto the ashes of their loved ones, they are to spread their ashes on the boat and on the flowers when it's done.

I've been to many funerals before but this one was going to be particularly harder to endure.

"We've finished!" announced Valkyrie as she brushes the dirt from the flowers off her clothes. I smiled, brushing dirt off as well. Valkyrie is one of those that makes up the small council I set up. She, Kilorn, Korg because of the few remaining alien refugees and my brother.

"Then all that's missing is well..." The people. And once the sun sets we can get started.

"We aren't too late right?"

I turned around when I heard Natasha's voice with Steve. They both wore black, even Freya who was in Steve's arms. "You are just in time." Steve smiled softly and approached, I accepted his kiss and embrace. This day was going to be hard. We were going to be saying goodbye. Forever.
