How does forgetting work? Cause all I seem to know is remembering.
You take up so much space inside my head it almost feel like I am no longer capable of thinking anything else but you. You come like waves crashing the seashore during a violent storm. Evading a territory that is left open for you.
It confuses me because I only know you as a memory. The last half of the eighteen long years of us knowing each other is spent by us being strangers.
Every time a memory of you drifts ashore, I feel vulnerable. It shakes up every last bit of what I thought is a strong wall I have built over the years.
This is why I can't help but ask...
How does forgetting work?
Cause all I have ever known is remembering you.
