Y/n's View

"Y/n?" Someone asks.

I look up and see Nick.

"Let me put my glasses on." Nick says.

"Oh my god. What are you doing here?" Nick says hugging me.

"I'm here on business. Won't be for long." I say.

"You should go see Olivia if you have time. She's married and she has a baby girl." Nick says.

I heard that you're settled down
That you found a girl and you're married now

I know. How could I not know? Every move she makes is posted on the internet.

"That whole music thing took off and now she's unstoppable." Nick says.

I heard that your dreams came true

"I know you're a very busy person so I'm gonna let you go. Stop by house while you're in town." Nick says.

I nod and he smiles.

Time Skip

I knock on the door and a man opens it.

"Can I help you?" The man asks.

I look at his hand and see a wedding ring.

"I don't want to get married. We don't need a piece of paper to demonstrate how much we love each other." I say.

Guess she gave you things I didn't give to you

"Is Olivia here?" I ask.

"What's your name?" He asks.

"Y/n." I say.

"Let me go see if she's busy or not." He says.

I nod and he shuts the door.

"Y/n? I can't talk to her." Olivia says from inside.

Old friend, why are you so shy?

"Tell her I'm in a meeting." Olivia says.

Ain't like you to hold back or hide from the light

I sigh and the door opens.

"She's in a meeting." He says.

"You tell her to call me when she stops avoiding me. She has my number." I say.

I walk away and shake my head.

Time Skip

I knock on the door and it opens. Olivia tries the close the door and I grab the door knob.

"I don't wanna see you." Olivia says.

I hate to turn up out of the blue, uninvited

"I want to talk to you." I say.

But I couldn't stay away, I couldn't fight it

Olivia stops holding the door and we stare at each other.

I had hoped you'd see my face

"You said this wouldn't be scary." Olivia says.

"It's not I've watched it like 7 times." I say.

Olivia holds my hand and we stare at each other. I kiss her and she smiles.

We stop looking at each other and I clear my throat.

And that you'd be reminded that for me, it isn't over

"I originally came back to California because I want us to try and figure things. Now I see that you've figured it all out." I say.
