Dylan.

Lee watched him take photos of his Pokeman cards. The boy played with the boosters when he was a child; now, it was his lucrative lifetime investment.

Lee could not believe some of Dylan's cards were worth hundreds of pounds. The last estimation of son's collection was seven thousand eight hundred and seventy-five pounds.

"I can't believe they're almost worth eight grand," Lee had exclaimed. Lee brought Dylan cases and sleeves to preserve his goldmine from then on.

The man was on the lookout, too, for the special packs.

There, in the living room, Dylan took photos in the hope of selling or exchanging the doubles he had that weren't worth much. Candy watched in silence.

She sure knew how to stand out for someone shy, thought Lee. The girl had her brows dyed auburn while her hair was lavender.

Dylan's girlfriend reminded Lee of Camille. She hardly spoke, at least not in Lee's presence, yet Dylan understood almost anything her facial expression said. Candy wasn't much different from the girls Dylan dated, but she was the only one the boy said he loved.

If some women loved men who resembled their father, it seemed Dylan appreciated women with his mom's persona.

The teen was happier now that he swamped his Emo Boy look for another trend.

Dylan never detailed his mixed heritage unless someone asked. Neither made friends or hung out with other Asian kids. The boy barely spoke Korean though he understood everything. Dylan hated the smell of kimchi just as much as he detested the smell of specific cheese.

His looks took a turn for the Hallyu life when girls compared him to Kdrama and Cdrama actors.

Influenced, the boy began to adopt certain mimicks. Dylan was a skater boy but an ulzzang one. Many girls wished to faint when he started to wear a hoodie in pale pink under his uniform blazer.

The revelation that caused his shame the year before made him a star among the girls. Dylan was the virgin boy who would only sleep with the girl he loved.

Everyone wanted a piece of him, but he only had an eye for the odd girl who spent her time humming while staring at the sky.

The pupils in his school called Candy stoned because of her lost-in-translation expression. Since no one knew her, some pupils in their school decided to invent Candy a brand new life.

- She was adopted.

- Her dad was a drug load in prison.

- Her mother was a stripper.

- She was on suicide watch after her suicide attempt.

Now the truth.

Her father of Jamaican origin was a chef. He went to live in New York with his new wife.

Her mother, a kindergarten teacher, moved in with her fireman boyfriend.

Candy's stay in hospital was due to surgery on her appendix, but well, no one cared to ask—no one except the ulzzang boy who began to say hello to her one day.

Just like in the movies, Dylan noticed her. Not because she was exceptional, but like him the year before Candy made the school rumors headlines.

Dylan, too, had his fair share of tell tales:

- His mom's a lezzie. Well, it was true still Dylan didn't like people talking about his mother's orientation in those terms.

- His dad is violent. Okay, if one saw how Lee blew up at the parents' meetings, they would say so.
