Maggie and I acted like we were shopping. We acted natural. Then the boy came up to us.

"Hey, we didn't know you were here." Luke said.

"Yeah, we didn't know you were here either." I said, still looking at clothing.

"So Mackenzie..." Luke said.

"Yes, Luke." I said, giving him a dirty look because I knew he was going to say something either embarrassing or stupid.

"Fine. I'll ask you later." He said.

"I think that's a good idea." I said, giving Luke a fake smile.

"Anyways. We'll see you later." Luke said. Brooklyn waved goodbye to me, and I waved back. Then all the boys walked away.

"Well." Maggie said.

"Well, we are going to go get coffee, and go home." I said, laughing.

We walked out of the store and went to the Starbucks in the mall. Me and Maggie both ordered.

"That will be $5.75." The cashier said.

"Here you go." A voice said behind me, it was a deep voice. He handed the cashier the money.

Maggie and I both turned around. Brooklyn.

"We can pay for our own Starbucks." I said.

"But you shouldn't have to." Brooklyn said, smiling at me.

"Well thank you. I will pay you back, I promise." I smiled.

"No need." He said, as he walked out of Starbucks.

"How sweet!" Maggie said, as we grabbed our drinks from the counter.

"Whatever. It's nothing." I said, walking out of Starbucks.

"Sure. Nothing." Maggie said.

I rolled my eyes at her. Then I looked at the time. 5:20, I had to go get ready.

"We need to get home." I said.

"Yay, dress up time." Maggie said, getting all excited.

"You're acting like were 7." I said, laughing.

"Whatever. 8 years off. But whatever." Maggie said, giggling.

And we exited the Mall, and found our waiting car: we got in and went back to my house. I had a lot of things to do, and only a little time to do it. But I was very excited.
