Shuichi and Kokichi came back from whatever they were doing. Shuichi had his usual cold, blank expression. Kokichi looked worried, but somewhat relieved. 

Kokichi headed over to where I was standing. "H-Hey, Kiibo. Do you m-mind if I check something r-real quick?"

"Of course, Kokichi. What did you want to check?"

"The c-coding."

I moved out of the way, then followed him to the computer. What does he need with the coding?

Once he was there, he looked at the character files. They looked relatively normal, but a few of them had the word 'modified' next to the character.

Kokichi and I shared a worried glance, then kept reading.

Kokichi said something under his breath. He seemed a little more relieved, for reasons I didn't know.

"Did you say something?" I asked.

"O-Oh! No, nothing." He scrolled down.

"Object? Why would she change her status to object?" I asked.

"Hold on..." His expression changed to what seemed to be pure focus. Pregame or no, I had never seen him look so focused. It was slightly scary. I also noticed that he dropped his stutter.

He looked in the World file.

"So, she added a wall. But where?" He mumbled.

"I have never seen you so focused."

"Huh? O-Oh. Um, well...I-I'm a bit of a c-computer nerd myself..." He said.

"Really? You like coding?"

"Yeah...I w-wanted to make a game o-once, but I never g-got around to i-it."

"Oh, what was it about?" 

"...It w-was a fangame..." He lowered his voice, looking a little embarassed. "But anyway, w-we have to figure t-this out..."

"I would love to check out your fangame one day." 

"...You p-probably wouldn't like it..." He said, facing the computer.

"Hey, Kichi!" I heard Shuichi behind us. "Whatcha doing?"

"O-Oh, just checking out t-the code with Kiibo..." Kokichi said.

"Ah, okay. It's almost time to go to the trial. Did you want to help me out with something?"

"S-Sure, Shuichi." He smiled, blushing a bit.
