Today was the day.

The day when my best friend gets married to the love of my life.

Everyone was happy. Laughs were shared, preparations were made, the venue looked beautiful and everything was perfect.

Except me.

Why couldn't it be me?

"I can't believe this," Jimin said, stressed as he gave me a painkiller.

Taking it, I muttered a thank you as I held my throbbing head.

"I never thought you'd get this drunk." He continued.

Why couldn't I be the one to keep her happy?

"I'm never drinking again," I muttered. "It was not worth it."

"It never is." Jimin shrugged before staring at me. "Tell me Jungkook, what's wrong?"

Everything is wrong. I just want to kiss her and take her away.

"What do you mean?" I mumbled.

"You hated alcohol-"

"I still do."

"Yeah yeah. And yet you got drunk. Why is that?" His eyes observed me, waiting for any hidden answer.

I wish I could be with her.

"I'll tell you someday. Just not today." I sighed before fixing my hair. "How do I look?"

"You look great." He said truthfully, making me smile.

I wish I was the groom.

"Great. So where are the rings?" I asked him, fixing my suit.

"What do you mean?" He asked. "You had them yesterday."

I froze.

"No, I didn't," I said slowly. "I knew I was going to get drunk so I gave them to you."

Jimin's eyes widened in horror.

"Oh my God." He muttered. "I lost the rings."
