One day on the way home to his dorm from school he accidentally runs into a strange cult and they put a abnormal curse on him, thinking nothing of it he returns home, but he awakes the next day to find himself quite different... He is no longer a 'he' Louis is indeed a female now. Struggling to understand what happened to him he must keep this big problem a secret and must find away to reverse this shocking curse or he will be a member of the opposite sex for the rest of his foreseeable future... This short story explores ideas of gender roles and their negative impacts on society, as well as the concept of childhood trauma, and the idea of male weakness. (Not inherent weakness, but countering the idea of inherent masculine strength) The story chronicles the life of a woman and her son in a non-specific 20th century setting, and follows them from the mother's childhood, to the son's adulthood, to the mother's death.
