So this little piece right here is a sample of what we do in my english class. This is my Naturalism Essay that we did a couple weeks ago. I, personally, am very proud of it. I hope you'll enjoy it. Yes, I know it says short story. I didn't know what genre to classify this as, so don't expect some crazy story that I might continue.

I'd recommend reading the book "The Giver" by Lois Lowry or you will have no clue what this book is about. This is an actual Language Arts assignment for me and I'm proud of it so I want to share.

Their path towards Mercier varies among each worker... Her fate sealed itself when he took her. He desired an opportunity to prove himself. He was desperate to support his child. She only wanted to pay off her student debts. ...but in the end, they were all destined for damnation. To be revolved around by constant suffering, lies, and death. As much as Mercier workers tried to conceal the darkness that hides within them, there are those who are not ignorant and can see what these workers are. Murderers, liars, manipulators, cheats, loveless, cold, deadly. When a group of Mercier workers are working together to complete their respective assignments, they meet an unusually happy set of university students who are interested in them. After their first encounter, they meet again and again until it's become a weekly routine for both groups to see each other at least once. Their once innocent acquaintanceship had quickly evolved into a tightly-knit friendship with unspoken feelings flying high. The four Mercier workers soon begin to understand how an innocent life is lived through the university students as the dangerous begin to grow strong feelings for their new friends. It isn't until one of the Mercier workers makes the deadly mistake to chose one of their assignment's to eliminate the father of one of the university students. Unable to cancel her assignment, Vanessa Martinez is forced to make a choice. Kill the father of the girl she's come to adore or reject the assignment and be murdered by a faithful Mercier worker. Despite the difficulty of her choice, it will soon become clear to her what she has to do when she sees an out of place man at a Mercier event promoting their services.
