**Midori's POV**
'It's so cold.....'
I could hear someone talking. "I don't know if the serum will wake her up. I believe it'll be in our best interest to let her wake up naturally!"
'I....recognize......that voice....' I slightly open my eyes and noticed someone with pink hair stand in front of me. Their back facing me.
"Who gives a fuck?! I want to take on her and her baby!" I open my eyes up a little more glaring at the blue haired man.
"That baby is under Lord Aizen's protection! If you kill it, he will have our heads!"
I kept my gaze on the blue haired man 'This bastard...will not....lay a finger on my baby!'
Alarms started blaring, the room flashing red lights. The pink haired man turned around, his eyes widening.
"She's waking up! Let's get her out of there!"
Sleep started to come over me 'My baby....'
**several hours later**
I slowly open my eyes only to close them back tightly due to the light.
"You there! Dim the lights!"
The lights were immediately dimmed and I was able to open my eyes. I was staring at a white ceiling but looking to my left, I see the pink haired man from before.
He smiled gently and placed his hand on the back of my head, slowly lifting me. I did my best to move on my own but I felt extremely weak.
"It's going to take a bit for your body to go back to normal. So please take it slow and don't strain yourself."
I nod weakly and hoarsely say "W-where am I?"
He picks me up bridal style, I was too weak to fight and accepted it but also realizing he doesn't look that strong.
"You're in Hueco Mundo, Gin brought you here and you are under the protection of Lord Aizen. At least...until your baby is born...."
'My baby.....' I glance at my stomach and noticed I was a lot further along than what I remembered. "How long...was I out for?"
He places me gently on a couch and kneels in front of me. "About 3 weeks" He gestures towards my stomach, asking permission to touch my belly.
I nod hesitantly, afraid of what he might do to me or the baby if I said no.
He places his hand on my stomach and slowly rubs it in a circling motion. "This child is truly remarkable. It has grown at a surprisingly fast rate and soon you will give birth. Oh!"
His already soften gaze seemed to soften even more. I couldn't help but smile at this because I also felt the baby kick.
"Fascinating! I've only read in books that humans are capable of feeling their unborn child!" His excitement immediately faltered "But...I also read about still borns...how they are alive for the entire pregnancy but are born asleep. Is that true?"
My heart stopped and I became emotional. This caused him to panic and he grabbed my hand and squeezed it gently. "I promise I will ensure your baby's safety when it is time."
I couldn't help but feel like I could trust this man completely. I didn't know who he was but I remember hearing him talk to himself but then it was more towards me.
While I was in the dark, he kept me company. Or maybe I kept him company.
That's when it hit me.
I didn't know this man's name.
I did my best to speak "Your....name....?"
He stared at me dumbfounded and then it dawned on him. "Oh!"
He stood up straight only to bow with his arm in front of his chest. "My name is Szayel Aporro Granz! I am espada number eight. It is a pleasure to meet you Miss Midori"
I nodded and smiled at him, saving my voice as much as possible.
He seemed to realize something and walked behind me, only to come back with a cup. He slowly pressed it towards my lips and gestured me to drink some.
I took a sip and realized it was water, I took a couple of gulps until he pulled the cup away.
"Better?"
"Much....thank you so much Szayel"
**Szayel's POV**
The sound of her voice, the way she said my name, it sent shivers down my spin. What was this emotion I was feeling?
'I must study more on human emotions....'
I placed the cup on the table and turned back to her. She was rubbing her belly and giggled quietly. I couldn't help but admire her.
She was
"Beautiful"
She looks up at me and tilts her head to the side "Did you say something, Szayel?"
My eyes widened, realizing I spoke out loud. I quickly tried covering it up, walking to her side and placing my hand on her belly once more. Feeling the baby move.
"This is my first time witnessing motherhood, and you're truly beautiful." I looked up at her and she was blushing.
